hot or not?
the man can drink...
i loved him on the tonight show...
you are weird!
the man can surf.
he's a collage artist, not hot anymore. he is terrible at turning up to seminars and lectures. he thinks he's a rock star.
Personally, and I own one of his books, not hot. Not now anyway.
For better or for worse his influence is everywhere still.
a mix of good and bad
dude had fun with ray gun layouts
i enjoy his typography. he had a way with tension
it served its purpose.
opened up the use of typography, he will be written about in texts as a influential designer and someone who was responsible for a movement.
I say: there is something about its graphics, which I found interesting, intriguing even, but it doesn´t communicate, at least on a level accessible to everyone. His ilegible typography, I would insist that its more like art rather than functional type. Oh well, almost as if you wouldn´t be able to seat in a chair designed by him, if he was a furniture designer.
he is terrible at turning up to seminars and lectures.

- he didn't show up to the one i went in vancouver. douche..pango
- didn't he missed the helvetica premiere in LA too?Meeklo
- He didn't show for 3 TIMES in the OFFF Festival in Barcelona!!!psv
- oh don't blame him miss the one in vancouver. that town sucks. just water and mountain.MisterMonk
it's not hot now obviously but 10 years ago, damn it was hot. extremely inspirational at his height.
I still admire his desconstruction of type as an image pioneer process - i still have many of the redesigned surf mags and raygun issues. His books are not that impressive. the design community owes him a good "how's your father"
i like his work, but to hear hm talk about it is nasueating. what a dick.
