lol... no matter where you live, theres going tobe people that love it and hate it. Some people will be nice, some will be dicks. Just how it goes. But just travel outside of your norm to see what you like and get your own views. And be friendly, people will treat you better.

Having lived in Kansas and Nebraska most of my life, not too mention Chicago and other larger midwest areas like Minne and KC... You are making a very broad generalization... I would never say the midwest "sucks", but I would say, we don't always have the latest and greatest in emerging trends/design/fashion... I won't even go on about that topic...
I have been to Paris and Toronto in the last year for the first time and loved both cities... and the people... Just curious what small museums/clubs/unknowns are out there...
