haam - thanks for flicking a small cigarette ash, having it subtly fall on a small dried up leaf, setting it ablaze, than burning down an entire forest... that blew out of proportion quite fast...
Having lived in Kansas and Nebraska most of my life, not too mention Chicago and other larger midwest areas like Minne and KC... You are making a very broad generalization... I would never say the midwest "sucks", but I would say, we don't always have the latest and greatest in emerging trends/design/fashion... I won't even go on about that topic...
I have been to Paris and Toronto in the last year for the first time and loved both cities... and the people... Just curious what small museums/clubs/unknowns are out there...
