Well, if there is a war with Iran expect:
A) Major shitstorm terrorism in NYC, DC, LA, etc. that'll make 9/11 look tiny
B) $10 a gallon gas will look like a bargain.
C) Teh Draft returns. All you 20 somethings will be knee deep in Teh Suck that is the middle east. Have fun.

actually, lets keep with the poker theme.
iran is bluffing that their holding pocket aces. more like they have ace duece of spades and they're hoping for a gut draw spade on the river but their odds are low. reason being their missle tests were less than desirable and basically the whole word thrrew a shit fit at the thought of them testing again. they bluffed, and missed the hand badly.
they're bluffing again in hopes of gaining some status in the world n shit. that's all.

It's fucked already. Airstrikes on the nuclear development sites within Iran is the back-up plan. If that happens Iraq will become unwinnable, if it already isn't.

it's a lot like the cuban missle crisis of 62. russia bluffed by putting their missles in cuba. the u.s. called and russia folded.
basically it came down to neither side wanting to actuall go to war, it was all politics bluffing each other for status and power.
want to know why that is true?!? cause even after russia lost the standoff the russians told their people they pulled out to save america from destruction and pulled to wool over their people's eyes to make them believe they had one. status in politics.
it's all a huge bluff by all parties.

(Sep 19 06, 13:18)oh i think if he could get away with it he'd try and launch whatever he had at whoever he could, which would most likely be israel, but even a mad man knows what the outcome of that would be. he'd be king of the world for about 32 minutes, which is the time it would take (don't know the exact time, just throwing that out there) for our missiles to level his country.
it's a calculated bluff, but another variable of the bluff would be a nuke 'acciddentally' falling into the wrong hands and going off someplace in the world.
he'd then just pass it off as someone stole it and what are they going to do about it.
i wouldn't get your panties in a ruffle over it though. relax.
