Do I need to get my ruler out?
jevad
(Sep 19 06, 13:22)i don't think he's actually talking to me anymore... i think he's talking to himself right now. :/

Im not sure that Bush is bluffing, I mean this would ride the line on what PNAC wanted to do in the Middle East, ya know?
- TheBlueOne0
The difference between Iran and Iraq is that
a) Iran is much bigger
b) Iran is pretty serious, and has a real military coompared to Iraq
c) Iran, unlike either Saddam or Bin Laden, actually has a competent terror network
d) Iran IS the Shite country. You go against them and you won't have any of this Sunni/Shia civil war crap..you will basically have every Shia state (i.e. everyone BUT Egypt & Saudi Arabia) play pile on the infidel.

I meant ruler for US/Iran

(Sep 19 06, 13:32)if that happens i'm sure we won't be around long enough for that to happen. or, if it does happen i'll be posting from my bomb shelter i constructed out of old refridgerator boxes in my backyard. that thing is bullet-proof.
*bird shits on shelter. shelter explodes.

The thought of bombing or invading Iran is disrurbing on so many levels. And Bush is determined to do it.
First of all, the US and allies are losing badly in Iraq and Afghanistan. The military tactics of invasion have not worked. (They should have gone in on the DL with special forces and marines to execute Al Qaeda and terrorists, not come running in with tanks and bombs to make all the important leaders scatter and give them reason to believe it is a massive Holy war)
So, if we go in Iran with the same mind-set, we are destined to lose badly there as well and cause 10s of thousands of casualties there in addition the those already suffered elsewhere.
The US could crush them if it used spy tactics instead of brute force.

Oh, and as far as the US being spread to thin to fight another war? NO.
We had over 300,00 troops in Iraq at one point, we have half of that now over there. You're telling me that they just dissapeared?
- mrdobolina0
I have thought that was the right way to go all along, infiltrate that shit like a chuck norris movie.
- mrdobolina0
honestly after 9/11 that is what I thought was actually going to happen, that they were just going to have special ops all over the world doing crazy shit, taking out bad motherfuckers and all that. I would have been down with that, not putting 150k dudes on the ground in an unarmed nation. what a fucking bunch of boobs these guys are.

(Sep 19 06, 13:46)i though from day 1 you never wanted to go in there in the first place, now you say we should have gone in like the movies? haha. ok.
- mrdobolina0
not iraq, more like afghanistan. you know, where al quaeda actually was?
- mrdobolina0
bush has you thinking iraq is the terror war again, homey ;)
- k0na_an0k0
actually homey... this was how the conversation happened above.

(Sep 19 06, 13:49)key word up there from soler. IRAQ. then you said '... after 9/11 that is what i thought would actually happen...'
so.... want to rephrase that?
- Soler0
i know dobs- so ridiculous.
We could flatten Iran and Iraq completely with a-bombs, and Al Qaeda would still be going strong.
They are an advanced international organization with training and guerilla tactics. The US could learn a thing or 2 from them in that sense
- mrdobolina0
kona, you know what the I meant. stop picking fights like garettwest.
- jevad0
Learn a thing or two? It was the CIA that taught them most of what they know!
- k0na_an0k0
i'm not picking a fight. you tried to discredit me. i corrected you on your error. that is all.
and i did not know what you meant. i gave up mind reading last lent and never got it back. i'll never do that again.
- Soler0
true jevad- we taught them well. now we forgot everything we knew
