my wife and i worked at the same place but we were both in other relationships at the time. stayed in touch. became close friends, eventually best friends. it was 5-6 years before we said how we felt about each other outloud... rest is history. nothing better than marrying your bestfriend.

Met my wife in art college, both age 20. I knew right away things would work between us, and told her so, only to find out that she'd had her eye on me for over a year.
We went out together for a year and moved in togther. Proposed to her her on our 5 year anniversary, she asked what took me so long. We were married at my mom's house with her grandfather officiating. We've been married for 6 years and our son is nearing his 4th birthday. Couldn't be happier.
Studies say maried men live longer, and I think I understand why.

Me and Mrs MXS got married after meeting each other twice (we had an arranged marrage where we were introduced to one another). Does that count as quick ;)
This year will be our 6th anniversary - Love blossoms - Contrary to popular belief - It can work :)

this is one of my favorite wedding stories:
on the night of our wedding we drove my wife's car, covered in strings and balloons, to a hotel. now, leaving that stuff on your car overnight is a bit of a beacon to thieves (perhaps the car is loaded with wedding gifts, money, etc.).
so, not having a knife handy i used a cigarette lighter to melt the strings and then tossed all of that stuff in the trunk.
the next morning we were heading out on our honeymoon and we get in the car and smell burnt plastic.
open the trunk and sure enough there's light fire damage from my task the prior evening.
"holy shit, i set her car on fire!" is what i'm thinking, but my brand-new bride was completely cool with it.
so i thought, "hmm... i really did marry the right girl."
