I have lots of questions, specifically to those of you who fell in love & got married absurdly quickly.
Anybody out there fit this description?

I'd hate to use the word "soulmates" ... but I guess I'm looking for those of you who think you've found yours.

not i (says the fly)
i will be in two months though.
all i can say is this.
love knows no boundaries or time, love only knows love. and maybe a little lust and straight fucking but that's only if wild turkey and love meet in a dark bar on weekends.

I met my wife at a house party I was throwing. Granted, I had been awed by her previously, as she was a bartender at a few places I frequented in DC. She came to the party with a Marine, but left her number, anyway) Four months later we got our own place together and five months later we were married. It seemed hurried, but I was moving to SF.
It has been awesome. 10 years later, through ups and downs, we are together happy as clams.
Two rugged individuals with a ton of common interests.

I feel in love with my wife right away, waited years to marry her though, with la little make-up break-up shit in between.

very happily married for just over 2 years. did NOT rush into it though.
yeah, sure it makes a romantic story, "We married after knowing each other for 3 weeks" - but only after 10 years (proving you work as a couple). I would bet the majority of the time the statement, "We were married after knowing each other for 3 weeks" is usually the answer to this question - "What went wrong with your first marriage?"

i knew within the first year of dating that i would ask my wife to marry me.

Met my wife Christmas eve 2001. Got engaged the following April (but knew in January I was going to ask her). Our boy is now 2 and a half and funny as hell (not to mention tiring as hell)
She's sat by my side now, doing nerdy geeky things with her blog. Geek love man, it's the best.
Why d'ya ask?

brooke, are you getting married?

My wife and I got engaged a little less then 5 months after we met.
I had no desire to ever get married and then she came along and I was singing a different tune.
We admired each other from afar for a while and then I applied for a job where she worked so I could get to know her. The job I was applying for was her's, so she trained me to replace her for 2 weeks, we flirted a lot and then on our last day working together we went out. The rest is history.
Brooke, I'd say if it feels right go for it. Just go in with eyes wide open, make sure that you are in the same place with life plans and goals, babies etc. before taking the plunge.

I met my fiancee about two years ago, shortly before my family moved out here (I came in town for a weekend visit to check the place out). My brother, who's marrying my fiancee's sister, met her at the same place & time. I had a GF at the time, but was intrigued. 18 months later I moved out here after losing my job in RI.
Started dating the girl who is now my fiancee in January of this year after she came home for Christmas and sparks flew. Old GF was out of the picture by then. We fell in love fast, even though we only saw each other when I'd visit Madison or she'd come down here. I knew within a month that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. We got engaged May 18th, we're getting married October 21st. We're similar & different in all the right ways. Never became such close friends with someone so quickly. Couldn't be happier. I'm also terrified, but I think it's a healthy fear...totally worth it.
