Proverbial thorn in my proverbial side, haha.

i definitely had that 'is this really happening' feeling...
all my life, i'd always been attracted to the same type of girl, short, cute, preppy and smart....seems like there was a long long string of them that i fell for, only to become the 'friend'
yeesh...
nothing like pining away for some girl, when all you'll ever be to her is a great friend...anyhow, when i met my wife, i was blown away...fell for her instantly ...only to think..oh no...what if i become the 'hes just a friend' again...
luckily, that didn't happen...
we both had the same intentions..but were attracted to each other..(wich is suprising...since both of us met working at a theme park north of toronto...Canada's Wonderland....and the old uniforms consisted of sky blue pants, white shirts and bright blue suspenders...we looked like fucking rodeo clowns....)
as her brother said at our wedding...if we could fall for each other in circumstances like that, it was definitely meant to be
:)
told my wife about this thread last night...mentioned i'd said all these nice things about how we met..
she laughed, called me a big sap...
then gave me a big kiss...man i love being married
:)

(Jul 7 06, 08:45)Yes. I grew up in the deep south, always hoped I'd end up with a southern girl but gave up hope after many years living in the northeast. Came out here, against my will really, and fell in love w/ the soon to be Mrs. gramme.
It's eery how much she completely fits the bill for my type, faith, personality, sense of humor, looks, even accent...she's even a designer (fashion, but still)...

I think I'd like to get to know someone for years before getting married (because I enjoy being independent and alone for the most part), but I haven't been in love, so who knows.

Met my lady in Jr. College back in 1993. I was 19, she was 18. We were together for 10 out of 12 years. Just got married like 2 months ago.
