I had a 20Gb ipod for almost a year that I used to put in my seat pocket, the HD started to grind and click til it wouldnt even play. I took it to the Apple Store and without having purchased insurance or whatever, they gave me a new one for $30.

Jevad, if it was just your battery I would send you the extra one I have cause you're a friend.
I thought my 4th gen iPod battery shit the bed, turned out to be this cheap ass travel charger I was using but I found out after I got the new battery that it was the charger when I actually got a brain and plugged the iPod into the old charger and it worked.
So now I have a new battery just sitting around.

I'm on #4 because they kept on replacing the one's that shit out due to warranty. But now my 1-year warranty is up, and I am so exhausted at this point, I don't even want to put up a fight for a new one that is just going to shit out like the previous 4. Apple got me good though. $360 for one year iPod rental basically.

seff, I have not gotten a blue screen since windows 98. My xp box at work has never crashed in three years.

if you want to get rid of your ipod apple has a ipod recycling program which allows you to recycle your ipod damaged or undamaged and gives you a discount of i believe 15-20% on a new one.
