someone who calls the seahawks one-dimensional, is someone who doens't watch the seahawks enough. hasselbeck had 273 yards, alexander had 100 yards. granted hasselbeck would've had a 300 yard day if:
1. Jeremey Stevens would've caught the ball.
2. Our big plays weren't called back by some holding penalty.
the low block called on hasselbeck, big ben did the same thing on the gadget play..but wasn't called.
and i could spot at least 3 holds that were never called on pitt.
but we didn't play our A game and mental mistakes cost us the game.

a few things:
jaz, congrats. i was gonna be all resentful and stuff, but i figure that it would be best if i didn't mention the fact that the steelers most likely would have lost if they had to go through foxboro. or that the team they beat in the superbowl, the seahawks, were largely untested throughout the year and, thus, this game was won at the outset. also, there was the fact that the referees clearly had money on pittsburg. there's also the fact that cowher wanted to win this to give the trophy to the owner, something he did... after 14 years! and that jerome bettis displayed poor class but stealing the moment to announce his retirement. but, im not gonna do that. your boys played some serious football in the postseason and definitely deserved to win. it was a nice moment to see the raw emotion in cowhers face after the win. so enjoy man. its a nice feeling.

It is what it is.
bottomline, you're never going to have a perfect game, just because it's a SB.
Seattle is a finess team, there was no way the Steelers were going to lose that, even though Ben played like sh*t. It's all in the match-ups. Half of the bad calls were actually good calls, except for that holding penalty, which was bad.
It just took the refs too long to call them. Like when Darrell 'I cannot catch worth sh*t' Jackson pushed off. Remember, when you had to bring in Jerry Rice last year for him, because he couldn't catch. On that play, that's what you call cheating.
Pittsburgh just lost the game less. It's maintenance control, something good teams do. Much like what the Pats did twice.
