a few things:
jaz, congrats. i was gonna be all resentful and stuff, but i figure that it would be best if i didn't mention the fact that the steelers most likely would have lost if they had to go through foxboro. or that the team they beat in the superbowl, the seahawks, were largely untested throughout the year and, thus, this game was won at the outset. also, there was the fact that the referees clearly had money on pittsburg. there's also the fact that cowher wanted to win this to give the trophy to the owner, something he did... after 14 years! and that jerome bettis displayed poor class but stealing the moment to announce his retirement. but, im not gonna do that. your boys played some serious football in the postseason and definitely deserved to win. it was a nice moment to see the raw emotion in cowhers face after the win. so enjoy man. its a nice feeling.
but, did mike holmgren stand up cowher at the end of the game for the handshake? they showed cowher on the field yelling 'wheres mike?' and they had the camera on him for what seemed like a minute. each passing second brought about a more angered look. then they cut to commercial. next thing the viewers see is cowher on the podium. they never mentioned what happened though...

The Seahawks weren't good enough to overcome mistakes and terrible officiating. How many penalties did Pittsburgh have? I counted one. Offensive pass interference, phantom holding calls at just the right time. And how about that illegal block on Matt Hasselbeck as he tries to tackle a Steeler defender after an interception? That was one of the most bizarre calls I've ever seen in football. Jerramy Stevens is the team goat. But Josh Brown could have made a big difference if he makes two more field goals. The Seahawks played badly, but they also got jobbed. It's too bad such a poor game ends a fantastic season.

There was some questionable calls in that game. But c'mon, don't act like your team wouldn't take them.
I'll stick with my previous comments. Seattle's offense looked pretty much one-dimensional and that one dimension, Alexander, had less than 100 yards and zero TD's.
What was Hasselbeck's problem?
NFC's #1 couldn't beat the AFC's #6.
However, I doubt the Steelers could keep doing this again. Only so many games you can win in a row like this.

I'm not going to write a whole big thing about this except to say that you have to be a retard to not see that the refs made some VERY VERY VERY horrible calls that caused the outcome of the game to drastically swing in favor of the Steelers. The calls were sooooo bad that there is no other explanation other than the refs having money on the game or being paid or something along those lines. BTW, before you go and say that its a wild conspiracy theory...think about it....if you could make TONS of money on something where you were in a position to have a drastic effect on the final outcome would you take it? A lot of people would.
AND, I don't really give a shit about either team. It didn't matter to me who really won the game. What does matter is that we now have one more thing in this country that is a complete sham and rigged. Is there anything else we can trust anymore to be as fair and legit as possible?
- ********0
It wasn't rigged silly. Just crap referrees that exist in the league. Sh*t two weeks ago they cheated us too. We barely beat Indy when it came down to it.
Seattle just wasn't tough enough.

Absolutely the most boring SuperBowl I've ever watched. I was actually flipping channells between that horrible game and that horrible movie "Elf"...
