Also, the tuck rule WASN'T in the SuperBowl and we went on to win 2 more after that one.

hahahah my @ss. it's in the rulebook now. at that point it was very cloudy.
First off this is ridiculous, you silly people. Any team is gonna' take any breaks that come their way. Darrell Jackson clearly pushed off, it just took the refs too long to throw the flag. It was delayed.
Big Ben's TD was over the line, they reviewed that.
The on horrible call was the holding penalty on that one Seattle drive, but that's about it.
It also says in the 'rule book' that you cannot go low on a tackle. Hasselbeck did.
The refs are only human btw.
We still would have won. Alexander was more or less ineffectual. Those are a quiet 95 yards. Willie Parker's run was more of a blast and fun to watch.

jackson clearly pushed off? yeah, about the same amount as the defender. then the ref through the flag only after the defender contested it.

the point we are trying make here, jazzy boy, is that the refs were in pitts pocket. no amount of 'well, they reviewed the play' makes it any better. it makes it so much worse.
the refs didn't call it a touchdown until the conferred--which ultimately means no one had a real good view anyways. on hasselbecks non-fumble in the 4th, the ref called him down first, but when a steeler picked it up an ran with it, he just let him go and then signalled it was pitt ball after he was tackled. cripes, this game was a mess.

(Feb 6 06, 11:52)actually, you can go low on a tackle. you can not go low on a block. hasselbeck went low on a block. then big ben throws an interception and goes low on a block, trying to get to the guy to make a tackle. that should have been called, but was one of the many that weren't.
the fix was in on so many levels. no one on espn this morning was ruling ben's touchdown as a touchdown. everyone is seeing the same play.

ahhh, you're right kOna, thanks for pointing that out. I really didn't think that was a penalty. Ivan 'Ike' Taylor lives next door to me on my street. Different building though. He's such a punk.
