I think Americans should be able to vote in the Canadian elections.
Question
(Jan 23 06, 07:18)I don't think the americans should be able to vote in any elections. Especially not their own.
- ********0
neenaw are you happy with Blair?
- Visia0
lol, neeaw. Considering that they only have 2 choices in the states and they still manage to fuck it up their head would probably explode up here.

spk, are you pro-choice? If you are, then I think you will find no small hypocrisy in the words of Margaret Sanger, the mother of the pro-choice movement in America:
On blacks, immigrants and indigents:
"...human weeds,' 'reckless breeders,' 'spawning... human beings who never should have been born." Margaret Sanger, Pivot of Civilization, referring to immigrants and poor peopleOn the right of married couples to bear children:
Couples should be required to submit applications to have a child, she wrote in her "Plan for Peace." Birth Control Review, April 1932On the purpose of birth control:
The purpose in promoting birth control was "to create a race of thoroughbreds," she wrote in the Birth Control Review, Nov. 1921 (p. 2)On the extermination of blacks:
"We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population," she said, "if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." Woman's Body, Woman's Right: A Social History of Birth Control in America, by Linda GordonOn respecting the rights of the mentally ill:
In her "Plan for Peace," Sanger outlined her strategy for eradication of those she deemed "feebleminded." Among the steps included in her evil scheme were immigration restrictions; compulsory sterilization; segregation to a lifetime of farm work; etc. Birth Control Review, April 1932, p. 107Hypocrisy spoken, written, and published by your so-called pro-choice friends, my man. I don't know about you, but I hear no advocacy for human rights there.

(Jan 22 06, 22:14)What a ridiculous argument, citing sources from the 20's and 30's

Question
(Jan 23 06, 07:22)Yes. I think so. But it's early days still. I don't want to rush into anything. We are going to the theatre tomorrow night though. That should be nice.

(Jan 22 06, 20:01)Bit of a grammar mistake in the poster :P
The reason I won't vote for Conservatives, ever, is because they are on the 'wrong side of most issues', to quote Jack Layton. And I was close to voting for either the NDP or the Green party, but they don't cover enough of the important issues. Therefore I'm choosing the Liberal party for my first vote ever.
I'm a really Liberal person as well, so if I was of age to vote in the past, I would've voted for them.

There is something very funny (at least to me) going on in these two threads.
Carry on. Good luck with the vote.
- Visia0
well, looking at the replies to the two threads then the Liberals would be forming government.
If only that was actually used as the official polling results.
Wait, that would be really scarry actually.
- vealemoble0
visia, the only reason why that "other" thread is geting the post count it has, is because of people like u and myself and other liberal supporters that are posting to make a mockery out of it

In the US, if the vote is split, at least you know that half the people in the country voted for whoever wins.
In Canada, if the vote is split it can means that less than 30% of the people in Canada voted for the elected government.

I think Americans should be able to vote in the Canadian elections.
