gramme - your statements supporting state control of what women can do with their bodies, while supporting a president who bombs and kills innocent pregnant women - IS a disgrace.
sticking your nose in a conversation about canada and blabbering about Lieberman was just foolish.

(Jan 22 06, 20:48)I DON'T SUPPORT BUSH. Again, make sure you read everything before levelling accusations.
The Conservative/Liberal struggle exists in a very similar fashion here in the States, so why exactly is it foolish??

And if you actually read everything I said about abortion, you would see why I say it's not an issue of women's rights, but infant rights.

I'm fully aware that you were talking about Canadian politics, BTW.

the revised 2006 Canadian Oxford dictionary now actually recognizes "your" as dork slang for "you are".

uhh.. .gramme? t
why don't you quit while you are not ahead or fess to:
A. you didn't know what the f*ck the poster was talking about in this thread and started in with your lieberman (i.e. US politics) babble
and
B. being a conservative pro-birth hypocrite that only cares about life when it's in the womb but doesn't give a shit about life when the war machine you support is raining death from the skies - or death in the deserts or high seas trying to escape poverty in mexico and haiti.

Politics are politics wherever you go. And it won't be too long until the US elections. No harm in weighing in.
Again, please read what I say before lumping me together with the rest of the conservatives. Let me put it in plain all-caps English, so there is no mistake this time:
I DO NOT SUPPORT BUSH. I DID NOT VOTE FOR HIM. I DO NOT SUPPORT THE WAR IN IRAQ, AND I AM NOT FOR THE BOMBING OF IRAN OR ANY OTHER COUNTRY THAT HAS NOT ATTACKED US.
Again, stop making ridiculous assumptions about my politics simply because of my stance on one single issue.
Thank you.

I respect the sanctity of ALL life, spk.

canada as a young country has a great oppurtunity to move forward not backwards, as we all prob already know the next generation of governments will have power as monopolies as corporations show nowadays, however canada has a real opportunity to help topple or atleast balance out the politics that plague third world country from world bank debts. harper + blair + bush will not help the equation that is needed towards a sustainable balance towards justice and freedom of non conformity.

Also spk, I thought this would be an eminently appropriate time to say something about Roe v. Wade, since the pro-life/pro-choice issue was mentioned in the original post.

*and since today is the anniversary of the court decision. It might have been a US court decision, but it affected the whole world.

Any body that votes "because conservatives or liberals" are winning, is a moron.

gramme - didn't your mom ever teach about about digging when you are in a hole?
you said the only liberal you would support is the Pro-war Lieberman ergo: you are a hypocrite - by saying the only liberal you would support is Lieberman you are implying you support conservative candidates (here in the US) - who have universally supported Bush's wars ergo - again you are a hypocrite.
By saying you support the "sanctity of life" while supporting conservatives means you also support the death penalty (again supported by most conservatives) - and again makes you a f*n hypocrite.
The only way you can be true to your "sanctity of life" bullshit would to be an anti-war, anti-war machine, anti-death penalty, anti-capitalist machine, anti-environmental destruction, activist working to do what you can to save the lives of those dying in the sudan and thousands of other places around the world.... which would make you a liberal - or a hypocrite.
you choose.

thank you jevad, im trying to get the importance of these rights across, abolishment of social rights is not gonna take as forward

spk,
Didn't your mother teach you there are two side to every story? Didn't she also teach you not to make rash assumptions??
I don't agree with Lieberman on everything. And while he supported the war going in, I doubt that he would handle things the same way as Bush. If he did intend to stay in Iraq indefinitely or was advocating the idea of attacking Iran or Korea, I would not vote for him. I mentioned his name because he's the only Democrat who seems to have any moral sense, his support of Bush notwithstanding. Just becaue I like a few things about him does not make me a Republican.
And for the record, I don't particularly like capitalism, it's flawed like any other system; however, I think it does work better than socialism or totalitarianism.
I have made my choice, and I am not a hypocrite. But you will probably never see that. I can sleep just fine at night.

sidebar—not all conservatives are pro-war, fyi.

spk,
What if I feed the homeless and sit down to talk with them when most people won't even get within ten feet? Do I have to be a liberal to do that?
