I am going to be reminded of this this shitty ad everytime I watch the concluding scene in Heat.
Thanks apple.

Influence is one thing, following trends is another, but blatant lifting of exact creative elements is what we have here.

I can't believe this wasn't mentioned in the thread yet. it's not even the Postal Service's song.
It's Moby's "God Moving Over the Face of the Waters".
So, other than the reference (whether blatant or unintended) to the video, people will only search for this song in PS's catalog, to no avail.
BUT maybe it's a big plot of world domination by the Postal Service.
By having a commercial similar to their video (which did NOT get heavy MTV play, I'd bet), they therein have people search fruitlessly for the song within the commercial. Which only calls more attention to their other, less-known songs, which will in turn make them....
BIGGER THAN THE BEATLES!
genius!

moby is terrible. some of his music is nice, but it's all sampled. so he's like brittney spears except he's an ugly little he. he brings nothing to the table.

a computer company made an ad depicting a clean room?
get the fuck out of here!
that scene clearly belongs to the indie's video director's vivid imagination

so ... the apple ad "sampled" the postal service just as moby "samples" all the music he makes.
hmm

so what?
shit copies... genius steals... I think Pentium and Apple rocked this one a-okay... they were even cocky about it (finaly Pentium chips actual serve a purpose... or something like that - cocky... funny).
... now... if Apple would only reduce their darned prices... I'd buy one... but until that day comes, I'll continue to save 1k+ and settle for my 'ugly' machine.
