Unproven Evolutionary assumptions, which could prove this to be flawed.
-Life arose from non-living matter (Spontaneous Generation).
-Spontaneous Generation occurred only once.
-Viruses, bacteria, plants, and animals are interrelated.
-Multicellular animals evolved from unicellular organisms.
-Various invertebrate phyla are interrelated.
-Vertebrate animals evolved from invertebrate animals.
-Vertebrate animals evolved from fish to amphibians to reptiles to birds and mammals, etc.

Irreducible Complexity is just one facet of the ID argument. And it stands stronger than ever, despite the failed attempts at rebuttals. The only proposed naturalistic mechanism for building this type of machine is NS + RM. And it fails. It fails because the machine is irreducible. If you remove one component it breaks... completely. Therefore, all the components had to be in place simultaneously for it to function. Thus, a mindless mechanism cannot gradually build an irreducible machine.

What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about?

It's not that DNA is super complex, mrdobs. It's that it is specified information. Information encoded in a sequential 4 character format. Just like a software program. Someone recently said, "DNA isn't like a software program, it IS a software program."
Every example we know of regarding information, has an intelligent source. The inference is logical then.

it's amazing though, how people get p*ssed on both sides if something is even in slight disagreement with what they believe. as if we can't say, hey you have a point to an opposing argument.

Evolution is a robust scientifically derived observation that has been tested and confirmed again and again over the past 150 years.
Intelligent design is not science at all, but a well-financed political and religious campaign to muddy science, and introduce religion in the classroom.
ID uses the same non-approach of "if it's" [still] "not explained, it obviously proof of the work of" [insert mythological creature here].
still, the [un]progressive mindset of some in the u.s. of a. is still capable of comedy of divine quality!

woot woot Jazx. My father, a preacher, and my best friend from school, an agnostic, would agree with you.

It reminds me of something a wise divinity professor once said. If you are having an argument with some "enemy," he advised, try to reword his position in a way that would make it at least palatable to you. Then invite him to do the same thing with your position. You won't appreciate the dispute-melting magic in that until you try it a few times.
The trouble, of course, is that such an approach is unlikely to produce winners and losers, and we've come to think that producing winners and losers is the essence not just of politics but also of life.

i'm sick of seeing these posts man. it's just depressing to know that so many people believe(in parts - [which is the irony]) all the crap they got pumped with as kids. Look at the facts, hard rock and bone facts. not the text in some book that wasn't even mass printed until 1500s. Even then there was several versions - and an english king chose which one was to be massed produced. Its fuckin chinease whispers. the 25th of dec is a druid holiday chritianity took over to piggy back on old religions hard word. nowt but propaganda - and a lot of people believe it. I've got repsect for peoples' beliefs. But you can't have a leader of 250 mill people saying to the media god spoke to me in my dreams - and thats why he made politcal decissions....
ahhh
ah
sorry.

^opinion. nothing more.
BTW, I personally left the church and just about all to do with it for several years, then God dragged me back kicking & screaming.
Some of what was 'pumped into me' as a kid was BS, but thankfully people are the authors of BS, not God.
BTW how can you say you have respect for people's beliefs and call the bible 'fuckin chinease whispers'? That is not exactly respectful. If that's your opinion, fine, but let's not confuse facts and opinions.
