anyone pay mention to the fact that the 3000+ americans were murdered yet we didn't have one race riot? yet aussies and euros have taken to bash mobs. hypocritical little turds.

i can think of several race related riots in the us but when it comes to 911 the government would prefer americans resort to anti-social paranoia

A man walks into a bar with a crocodile under his arm...
MAN: Do you serve politicians here?
BARTENDER: Well, of course we do! Jaques was here just last week.
MAN: Good, I'll have a beer and my friend will have a politician.

this thread is still alive? hey what happened to the French Riots Thread?
They really go the French Government didn't they?
- al_king0
dunno
but french always in the place,
became cars burners kingseverything's here burnin' everyday, that's cool cuz it's winter !
noway, but i realised that outside france people were dinsinformed about what really happened and why.
- ********0
that's cool, tell us.
- al_king0
the problem is really important, and there was a lot of destruction (schools, shops, 22,000 cars...), but the way it was presented on tv (as i saw on some informations tv's outside of europe) shown a really bigger drama.
i saw france's maps with fire everywhere, but here for ex. in south of france nothing happened (or too few things), ok the reason it's because they wanted to stay away from that to do their business (deal,...)
The source of the problem is complex, and it's not so easy to define who and why they clearly did this. I saw a cnn video explaining the implication of muslims, they used this religion as a source of the problem, i don't really think the problem starts here.
But what Laurent said: too much corruption from France in Africa, that's a direct cause.Sorry for a looong post. Tryin to give you a little more detailed info.

Sorry I had to leave Cocktus, I had a life outside NT to attend to.
I’m trying to discern a point beyond the patronising sarcasm of your last post. But from the posts you have made in this forum it’s quite easy to see that you like to put people into boxes before you’re able to challenge them. That George Galloway thread you started was quite funny, failed to catch fire though. I think it is quite demonstrative of your own lack of sophistication that you chose to dodge the issues we were talking about and instead make personal comments and judgements. Anyway, to answer your very leading questions.
Do I think there is a problem with Islam? I personally have countless problems with that religion in all its guises. But I also think it displays a lack of sophisticated understanding on your part if you think Islam as a monolith is a threat to peace and tranquillity in the world. Have you read Huntingdon’s clash of civilisations? He makes similar unsophisticated and misguided judgements. As far as I can see, US foreign policy poses a much greater threat to global peace and security than the existence of a religion called Islam (in all its denominations). Moreover, before you try to box me again to make arguing easier on yourself, my issues in this thread was the seeming parallels being drawn by people like you between Jihadism and the uneasy assimilation of young, poor, immigrants. In both cases, I don’t see Islam as the key problem. On the one hand I see US foreign policy as stirring global hatred (which you’ll see as much evident amongst the socialist Left in Hong Kong this week, only the counter-Imperialist Left lacks the millenarianism that the Islamic counter-Imperialists can draw on). And on the other hand, I see an often repeated story of uneasy assimilation of immigrants, which media and ingrained racism turns into a clash of cultures, since hatred of Islam seems to be the flavour of our epoch. I could easily have told you a story of the “Yugos” and Serbs in my area who walk around in gangs and have “given me shit” on buses etc, but I don’t think that would raise the same passions since they are not Muslims.
Your posts are funny Cocktus, cos you seem more concerned with baiting than actually making a point. That’s either down to your own insecurities, or cowardice. I think it’s a bit of both.
(ps, my “guiding principle” is not “anything that does down America is good”, I find principles irksome).
