The thing that always strikes me as curious is the how people like you are so thin-skinned. You and your fellow Brits slag off any and all who dare to question your stale political beliefs then, either press the ignore button, or gangbang on anybody that has the temerity to come back at you. Here in France we have a terrifying consensus of opinion vis-a-vis the issues we are discussing. In French it's called "pensés unique". Group thought, I think would be the best English translation. This is something I detest. It is also an indication of our intellectual poverty and part of the reason why the riots in France and Sydney happened. It is because of people like you. It is you, deracinated intellectuals and their wanabee followers, who prevent honest discourse as a way to confront problematic issues of assimilation before they explode into something much worse than if they were addressed objectively at their germination. We have many euphemisms here IN France to hide from reality: "quartier défavorisé" for ghettos, "bandes de jeunes" or "des jeunes des cités" for wolf packs of usually black and arab delinquents...ect. You, yourself could even bring yourself to use the word muslim when referring to "immigrant communities" when everybody knows we are not talking about "Yugos" or others. Please correct me if I'm wrong, perhaps I'm uninformed, but I'm not aware of any recent "Yugo" riots, bombings, or assininations of provocative Dutch playwrights. By hiding and/or downplaying the pathological excesses of some in the Muslim diaspora you are actually strengthen those elements and leaving the moderate, law-abiding majority at their mercy. Then again, if you rhetoric is anything to go by, that's exactly what you want.
Furthermore, I find your misplaced condescension hilarious. That is part of the reason I sometimes attempt to goad and mimic you and your chums. You're such gasbags with all politically correct postering here that I just can't help myself even though I really shouldn't...I have mouths to feed.
As for your response to my question regarding Islam, you have only confirmed to me that you live in a parallel universe to me. If you think that the US is a bigger danger to peace in the world than North Korea, a dynastic communist state run by a meglomanical dictator with nucular weapons, a theocratic "millenarian" Iran who is theatening a second holocaust while denying that the first one ever took place, and your "anti-imperialist" Islamists who just want to create a greater Islamic world to further their algebra studies, than you and I really have nothing left to talk about.

I have read Clash of Civilizations. But I don't need a book to see what is clearly going on around Islams "bloody borders". Take a look at a map. It fills me with saddness in saying so but at just about every point on the compass there is conflict going on between Islamists and everybody else.
