Well one does try.
Maybe you wouldn't need to print - you could use a sticker, then colour co-ordinate with the colour of felt you are gonna use...
:)
I love it when a plan comes together

I would perhaps put a carefully palced stitch in, through the label incase it did come unstuck...!?

Re Dancers suggestion maybe run it all thorugh a sewing machine using sme coloured thread as felt and leave a bit of the thread hanging off the end. Slip into sexy wee envelope et voila - awards and clients aplenty!
- DavidFelt0
Got an idea to use a sewing machine to stitch round the edge of the stciker, thus solving the problem of it falling off!!! This could work me thinks!

By the way, Dave, don't you think that using FELT for a company called FELT is a little thin?
Just as a side note, maybe you could never use this, but hey...
I'd love to find a piece of work where the person has taken the time to maticulously burn the egdes on each piece. I would apprecite that.

AH SPANNE, your too quick!

fucken top idea Dave. It'll stick out a mile.
Don't have any pics here, but will post when I'm home again...when I was in Zurich I used to organise funk parties under the title "Black Coffee" there was this culture of getting more and more expensive flyers at the time... all the wanky house clubs trying to outdo each other...
We went with a coffee filter and a rubber stamp, cost fuck all and looked a fuckload better than any of the house wank.

Spanna where's your site, for someone with good ideas I would like to see them put into action
- Spanna0
Not sure - you could try wedding favour sites or weddin invite sites?

The ONLY downside with going felt crazy:
People may get the impression that felt is a "crafts" operation.
But, if enough info circulates (ie: word of mouth or it's printed ON the card) you might be ok.
You are a GRAPHIC designer, no? If so, this must be conveyed more than anything.
Otherwise, we've got some major creative digression. If not simply a Gr. Dsgnr, I guess you're alright.
- DavidFelt0
Yeah graphic designer, so you reckon state this a bit more clearly than simply saying Felt Graphics on the card?

I like the flock idea by the way. Just the logo embossed in flock on card. As, to be honest, I think they look a bit poor on the felt base at the moment. What kind of design do you do david? As unless it's "crafty" whatever the fuck that means, I think you might end up missrepresenting yourself.

(Oct 5 05, 05:37)I reckon that's the best option, make your own flock.
That and having the threads dangling off of the card, whoever said that.my god, will wonders ever cease!?
A creative, useful and interesting thread with no mention of bumming, dildos, banjos or hoors...
Whatever next???

Dancer - I haven't got a site yet! One day.....

It is conveyed. The comapny is called Felt and to re-affirm this he is using felt for the business card. It's about geting noticed and COMMUNICATING your brand.
It doesn't have to have loadsa GRAPHICS on it to say "graphic designer"

thats what i thought dancer, he may have a point tho, people may mistake us for a kinda arts and crafts company, and thats not good!

I hate business cards if they employ a"grid" system. Its so so so so unbelieveably boring. Tactility is great. I want to create something that I can speak about with my dad without getting embarressed and having to explain placement of text and minimalism.
