good stuff Chossy lad, glad you stayed off religion :P
David I think it's a goer if your not concerned about the rigidity, though stitching would be nicer. (looks very nice btw :)

Haha. That image brought a tear to my eye chossy. No, not that eye, well maybe a little bit.
I like the flock idea by the way. Just the logo embossed in flock on card. As, to be honest, I think they look a bit poor on the felt base at the moment. What kind of design do you do david? As unless it's "crafty" whatever the fuck that means, I think you might end up missrepresenting yourself.

well said skt, check out our site to se what we do, but yeah, if the job allows we try to hand make and draw as much as possible.
Really were just after something to get us noticed and remembered, know what i mean?

It gets up my arse though, when we, as a design community, debate such bullshit things. I go back to the Cornflower Blue scene in Fight Club, again. People on this website, for the most part, try to take the "critic" stance. That, by definition, is probably a negative stance to take anyway and always makes me feel like being the Mother Teresa on the situation. Oh well.

I still think just felt on its on is too flimsey.
If only Artomatic were still about :(

(Oct 5 05, 05:43)If it doesn't break, rip or tear, then whats wrong with it?

point fully taken Gavin, no worries - I was just pissing about :)

Ahh. Nice work mate. Didn't know you had a site up since last i saw you posting. I still think the felt is a bit overkill though. But as you say, it will be noticed.

True 'this is gavin day', if it keeps the details stuck to it then what else does it need to do, gotta ask you all these questions:
1. would you be impressed by and remember a card handmade out of a peice of felt and some good quality laser stickers?
2. would it bother you too bad that it didnt fit in a credit card compartment of your wallet?
3. does the fecking thing look any good?
Peace

Sexy little typeface on your site David, what is it?
- DavidFelt0

A friends of mine's company use a metal card but they have it in a wee envelope. perhaps you could buy already made up wee envelopes and put your (beautiful) felt card in them?

If it's just felt and flops about:
1) the sticker will come off.
2) I would prefer to recieve something sturdy and not can hold it's own. not a sticky label on an off ciut of felt. The idea is there but the execution lacks IMO. It needs more thought and research I think
- DavidFelt0
Fucking good idea spanna, a sexy little printed envelope, that would be mint! nice one?

1. I would remember, but might not be impressed.
2. Don't have a wallet so no.
3. No, and i think that's my problem with it so far.

Also Dave...
No, I wouldn't mind something that didn't fit in my card storage in my wallet. neitehr would most people I know. That is such a side issue. If it's nice, then I'll find a damn way to have it.
Plus I love Freebies.
On the "would I remember it" question. That depends. I would visit your site and if I like it, it would go in favourites (as if happens you were already on there), but yes, I would take that card for the fact that it is handmade and alst that the felt logo is stitch. I love stitch!

Now your talking spanna.

I've seen the stitched typography on fabric done by holly aiken.

Wonderfully tactile but it doesn't fit well in wallets or rollodexes. Regardless I supprt your effort to make them handmade.
