I read a site about old stupid laws a while back and one of them said that Indiana made it a law that PI equals 4.
- skelly0
Apparently Indiana law also prohibits having a boner in public....

ohhhhhh pi.. like the number? i thought you meant PI as in public intox
yeah, indiana is fucking backwards. thats why i can't wait to leave.

My wifes family is from there. Her brother lives in Bloomington. I've never been there but it sounds like a decent town. The design program at IU seems good. I think they have a masters program too.
- MLP0
yeah apparently the MFA program is pretty well known, but i have no idea why. the people coming out of it don't always blow me away.
bloomington is fun as hell... its almost all based around the college, so it seems like everyone is 20. who is her brother? maybe i know him.

that reminds me of this playboy poster that is up at a bar here. its a playmate on a bike from behind.. she's clothed and it has this ted nugent record cover style lettering ...
if anyone knows where i can find one, let me know.. i've been searching ebay for 2 years

His name is Jeremy Powell. He is the manager of a silkscreen place but he doesn't go to school there.
I love college towns too.

- seed0
I'm not sure. I'll have to find out. If I ever visit there I'll let you know. Maybe we can drink some boooze.

if its x print wear, i tried to get a job there this summer when their graphics lady left. no dice.

so a friend of mine is wanting to sell his 2 year old felt s22 ( http://www.feltracing.com/2005_b… )for $650. he's only raced it twice and it's got less than 200 miles on it. i've been looking for something for both transportation and recreation (i.e. semi-long rides on the weekends) and was willing to spend about $850. just wondering if those of you in the know think this bike is a little too much to get into as i definately don't plan on racing. it's in perfect shape, no dings, dents, or scratches. it's definately a good deal, but i'm just not sure.
thanks, all.

looks nice. I am no road bike enthusiast, but have considered getting one.
That bike looks like it's decked out for time trials or triathalons, not casual riding.Call a store and ask about the geometry. I'd guess it's not what you are looking for (nor I). But it's just a guess.

1978 gitane pista with hi flange campy hubs bought 10 years ago, before fixies became the new air dunks.
- Chief0
that's what i'm thinking. i've never owned a road bike, used to be into mtn. biking when i was younger and have been wanting to get something a little nicer than what i've got now(an old pos). thanks, mbr for the help. anyone else? he's desperate for cash, hence the low price, and i'm sure he'll get rid of it soon.

I thought fixies were the new Fat White Laces.
- s_90
chief, that bike is dope. Is it spec'd out with the same components as the model on the website? I'd buy it. But I'm trying to be competitive. Like, I'm at that point where I want to race to win, you know? The price is phenomenal. He could sell it for twice as much, EASY.

it's got dura-ace shifters but ultegra derailleurs and 105 breaks. other than that, yeah. it's a pretty sweet ride, but would it be too much for commutes during the week(about 3mi. each way) and 15-20mi. rides on weekends?
