the majority of the people the I SEE with pitbulls (i said majority) are complete dipshits. The dog is merely an accessory. Surely they're not training them... except maybe to be a badass. I hope those dogs turn on their owners and tear their arms off.

My dog was attacked 3 times by 3 differnt Pits in the last 8 years. My nieghbor was bit, my friends were bit, I was almost bit-
In my neighborhood (Philadelphia) it's all about Sarface movie posters, long tees, and pits.
I carry a knife now when I walk my dog ready to slash their throats the next time they come near (the owners or the dogs).

They recently banned pit bulls in Toronto and I'm not against that however it probably won't solve any problems.
So, now you can't buy a pitbull and keep it in Toronto but if you have one already you're alowed to keep it provided it's wearing a muzzle in public.
To just kill peoples pets is sick.

the potential viciousness of the dog make it attractive to the lowest common denominator, And it's easy to bring it out, do nothing, treat it badly, done. To kill the animal based on the potential is strange, it doesn't promote responsiblity. maybe internment camps for pitbull owners..

we banned them up here and I couldn't have been more happy.
1. I don't like dogs. I know, I know. I'm some sort of inhuman monster becuase everone likes dogs but me. But I don't give a shit. I just don't like dogs.
2. Pitbulls are dangerous. A few have ruined the party for eveyone else but in the end, if it's a matter of picking a dog or a person then people win. That's just natural.
3. They are the most fucking ugly things on the planet. Seriously, why would anyone want to own one? They look like they've had their face mashed.

A few of my friends have pit bulls and they're all the sweatest dogs but I'm still sketched out by them.
Infact my Dalmatian has attacked more people and other dogs than all the pits in know combined.
My cute little spotted dog got into it with a friends pit and a boxer and when we tried to seperate 'em all the pit was the only dog that actually listen and stopped when we yelled at em.
Its all in the way you train 'em.

It's true, dalmations are a little sketchy.
In my neighborhood there lots of guys with pits with clipped ears and scars, really sad. Once we noticed an older dog that had been dumped hiding under a truck. she was obviously a breeding dog that looked like she had been through hell. Sweet looking face but I was still scared. called animal control, probably put to sleep.

Fuck Denver. That's one of lamest laws I've ever heard of. It is in fact genocide, but even on a broader spectrum. Big thumbs down to that local ordinance and all the dumbfucks that came up with it. Like a few other people said in here, I've been around a lot of other dogs more aggresive than a lot of pits; don't get me wrong, I've seen some sick ass pits, but try kickin it around Mastiffs, Akitas and Chows with attitude problems. Not nice. I feel really bad for those animals. It's not their fault.

last night I was walking my dog (a pit) on the beach, when out of the darkness runs a collie its side kick little piece of shit cocker spaniel, right away starts attacking my dog who is leashed, so I raise my dogs leash getting my dog on his hind legs so he is unable to bite back, its what us pit bull owners do to protect those other dumb dogs from their own stupid mistake, the collie kept coming in for bites at my dog, my dog couldn't defend himself because of me (sorry buddy), but i kept kicking/stomping at the Collie to keep him back, meanwhile the cocker spaniel piece of shit just kept gnawing at my dogs feet, during all this I spotted the owner about 500 meters away freaking out and running towards us to break it up, he knew all i had to do was drop the leash and it would have been the end of both of his dogs. Moral of the story, don't judge a book by its cover, other dogs can be cunts too, even Lassie.

Denver's ban applies to any dog that looks like a pit bull. The animal's actual behavior does not matter.

Such a misunderstood dog. If any of the bleeding heart "pit bull" advocates would like to adopt a poor misunderstood pit bull, each and every SPCA across the country has thousands of them ready for adoption. I hear that they are great around infants and small children.
