holy shit 260 put out?
- BonSeff0
not a fan of the pit

yeah Bon, pitbulls can be very nasty

the quote that got me was:
"But Denver's ban applies to any dog that looks like a pit bull. The animal's actual behavior does not matter."
Whether you are a fan or not killing an entire breed (or similar looking breeds) of dog iin a city is crazy.

it's stupid. the people who just get one and think they don't have to train it are the ones they should target. not the people who understand the nature of the dog and train it properly. shit, you don't take a pit bull that's never been trained to a dog park and let it run, what the hell do you think it's going to do?
a buddy of mine used to have one and it was the nicest dog. they spent a lot of time training it and it was well worth it.

i agree kOna, my neighbour raised his pit since it was a pup.
almost everytime we walk it, some kid would run up saying 'hey that's the kind of dog that kills people'
wtf?? brutus is the biggest pussy in the block
- fezenstein0
it's sad, and it because of the popularity of the animal, like dobermans in the 70's, is statistically going to have more bites etc. not to mention the kind of assholes who own them.

pitbulls are my fave
i liek them more than humans. humans can get fucked.
- kld0
damn that's lame. 260 destroyed. wtf.
"He's been dangerous to a couple of pairs of shoes and some mini-blinds," Dias said. "But otherwise he's a jewel."
I think I lost 7 pairs to our latest pup.
- Mimio0
They're irresponsibly over-bred.
//Some pretty 'choice' people like to own them too.

I guess it comes down to them being more aggressive than other dogs and a track record of hurting people or one bit the wrong person's loved one who has power. But Dobermans do the same thing. That's screwy...
- brandelec0
dobermans definitely bite more but they don't damage like pits
- ricstultz0
they were kept as pets more than any other dog in the 1950's. Destroying them now is fucking ghey. I would put myself between my a dog a person coming for it. Man, thats fucked... I've known some awesome pit bulls.
- kld0
irresponsible owners, low fences. that's the problem
- shellie0
i think theyre the stupidest dog to have around strangers or children... but i think you should be able to keep them in denver if you put them through an extensive training process and have a certificate to proove it. doggy boot camp for fightin dogs.... is that too much to ask?
- ricstultz0
the reason pit bulls are so dangerous is their locking jaw can kill a person. Thats how they kill, lock around the neck. Dobermans chew and tear.... so more bloody but not as dangerous as a pit.

Screwed up kids:
irresponsible parents, low self-esteem. that's the problem
;)
- ricstultz0
They put pit bulls down, but Mike Tyson is still roaming free... huh?
- brandelec0
you know if a pit jumps for your neck, all you have to do is grab its two front legs and pull em outwards like chicken wings
- fezenstein0
yes but should a breed be killed off or "banned" because it has this certain genetic "advantage" that people exploit for their own ego, and pleasure. i think not. Where i work (in the shittiest part of town) you see more pit bulls in junk yard backyard with waist high chain fences. you can only imagine the way they are treated. too bad they dont' clamp down on the owner.
