Don't forget that the Bible teaches pre-evangelism: removing obstacles to faith through intelligent discourse.
=================
The bible also says not to reason with fools. You would probably have better chance helping them if you were to pray for them contrary to the article that has a different belief. You are wasting your time but obviously you refuse to see it that way. My suggestion would be to find a board with people actually searching for answers and help them. You are obviously know the bible and I think that your gift sure be used elsewhere.

You only answer select questions though discipler. I want to know if you chose christianity after studying the others.
I don't think you did. I could be wrong though.

'Did you pick a christian god before or after you examined the worlds religions?'
And don't lie.

(Jul 15 05, 06:47)thing one: excellent question
'Damn it. I meant 0% interest. Fuck, that could have been quite funny.'

(Jul 15 05, 06:41)thing two: aw, bless. we still thought it was funny, boo.

well discipler you're the one who always uses (lack of) education as an argument in a discussion. so you're pretty familiair in the insult dept. as well. oh no, wait, i know, god works in mysterious ways.

Such utter B.S. , there's actually a whole religion based on this call "The Church of Christ, Scientist "(Christian Scientists), they're basically Episcopals that don't believe in medical treatemnt of any kind. They die all the time, no miraculous healings.

skt, it would be most accurate to say that I was chosen by Christ, during a complicated time in which I was much younger and had been looking into the teachings of a pseudo-christian cult, researching what I believed to be Bible "difficulites" and investigating some of the more pagan world religions - though not extensively.
It would be after my conversion to Christ that I would really make an objective investigation into the claims of Christ and the Bible and do comparitive research with world religions.

a good study would have been reversed- whether or not heart patients who pray are better off. the study performed is high retardation.
- Mimio0
You studied with the JW's discipler?
- discipler0
Well, The Church of Christ, Scientist, is really a metaphysical cult. Basically, marrying early Gnostic mysticism with Christianity and arriving at some dangerous and anti-biblical beliefs. Bad stuff.
- discipler0
yes, Mimio, I did.

just a thought of mine.
i've often wondered why christianity and a persons faith in it always sturs up as much hatred and mean spirits as it does. i mean, talk about any other religion and admit it the conversation isn't as bad. why do people get so offended? why do people get so mad?
i know why. because i think deep down you non-believers know that there is something to it. i think you know something is there. i mean, take a conversation about space aliens and how they created man and it maybe gets 5 responses because no one believes it.
take scientology and you get more tom cruise jokes that you do an actual discussion.
i think you non-believers fear that there is something to it so you go out of your way to discredit it and take personal shots at the person(s) who believe.
i'm not preaching. it was just an observation.

hey, discipler, was there an answer in there somewhere? how many and to what extent have you studied the varied religions of the WORLD?
- ********0
discipler, it has been scientifically proven that God does not give a shit about heart patients. How does that make you feel?
- paraselene0
omfg!!!
kOna's found religion!
- discipler0
skt, it's all about the individual and how objective they are. I consider myself to be objective, even to a fault. It may not seem that way, but that's simply because, over the years, I've become so very convinced of what I believe through the research i've done and the experiences i've had. And yes, thru objective study of both sides of the issues.
I want the truth, bottom line. And I've found that Christ holds this truth.

Discipler, Most of the first century Christians were Gnostics, the disciple Paul was, he basically created Christianity.
