propaganda like this makes me sick. really really sick. this is how hopeless certain Dutch political parties have become.. just spread fear, like Bushie does, it gets the votes eh?
Fuckers.
they will get a big fat NO from me.

i am absolutely voting NO. i am only becoming more and more convinced to vote NO.
Zero pro-politician dared to be objective and honest about the huge failures of the EU in the past decade, also the fear-propaganda they are trying out now is extremely offensive imho.
what a bunch of fuckers. jesus h. christ.

being vs. EU is so last century.
- wait, we still aren't there : )same reasons here. 100 % understanding
- vb_0
well, pascii, praise yourself for not really being part of it....
yet.
- Kes0
wow, you really care that much?
no offence, but i don't really care, pro-euro anti-euro. What the fuck do i know? I just wish the politicians wud have the balls to make a decision once in a while. What the fuck do we elect them for? To hold referendums? WRONG!
But i do think it's necessary to have a a legal framework to bring in the enlarged Europe.

doh, the editors of nu.nl just edited the story and now say it won't be televised.. just when i sent out an email to the VVD.

"wow, you really care that much?"
well Kuz, it's exactly people like you who don't care that empower politicians to make decisions that are not in our interest.
- kelpie0
my crappy computer won't play the wmv file, what's the story vb_?
- vb_0
the -were- planning to use the holocaust, sebrenica and madrid in a commercial to push people to vote pro-EU Constitution.
- kelpie0
nice and level of 'em :/
- Kes0
Maybe you misunderstand me Janne. I'm specifically talking about the EU constitutions. That specific document i do not care that much about. Politics of fear is being played by both sides, whilst in reality i don't think it will make that much difference in the way europe operates, or even the principle of a union of sovereign states.
It really does seem as little more than a tidying up exercise, which i guess is fine if that's what they want to do.

well vb, that's what happens when gutless politicians can't make a decision. Their advertising campaign on a plebicite is bound to reveal the low-down dirty side of politics. That is indeed hard to digest. Both camps, YES and NO have been unecessarily been playing up public fears. But be intelligent and base your vote on something other than an unappealing advertising campaign.
I mean they are obviously making a point of the need for European unity in the most crass way. Similarly the British tabloid caricaturise the evil arm of Brussels. It is unsavourty to say the least, but what can you do?
Your protest vote is like cutting off your nose to spite your face.
- JazX0
I'm leaving on a jet plane for the States then!
- Kes0
exactly stewardez, which is what pisses me off about the whole exercise.
What the fuck do ordinary people with little interst in politics, other than cursory reading of a few newspapers, know about the ins-and-outs of the EU. We are basing our decision on an uneducated population? No wonder the campaigns are so ugly.
Gutless politicians who do want to make a decision incase it effects their careers. Why else do we elect them than to lead us? make decisions for us?

as Kuz stated: the politic of fears is played by both sides.
shit, is played by mostly any political side since the dawn of demagogy.
At least the secular clausule is well documented in the future constitution.
And this will not be a divine-like constituion like the one in the othwer side of the pond.
pas de stress.
