For better or for worst, I put a lot of faith in you guys. Please let me know what you think of this newly revised resume I cooked up.
Anything I should change? Is it ok as is? I don't have a lot of "professional" experience yet so any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

First impression -- it looks garish. I would make it a little bit more sophisticated and elegant...use a different font and font size and rethink how the horizontal/vertical lines are used near your name. Also think about kerning. And rephrase your objective so that it would be about the employer -- how you can benefit them -- and not the other way around.

Content wise I think it looks good. You've kept it short and consise enough that it will mostly likely get read when it hits someones inbox.
I'll agree with lind that you should revisit the layout, choise of fonts and use of type... that could use some work imo. Personally I like resume in HTML the most because they are "lighter" than a pdf (I just don't like opening Pdf's but thats me). Plaintext resumes are the best but then you dont have much freedom with fonts and layout.
But yeah, ultimate for me is looking over a short resume done tastefully in HTML (with CSS) and then having a look at 10 or so of the best pieces of work w/ 1-2 line descriptions... only more then 10 if they are excellent.
I always likened looking through resume like checking out a new CD or record... your going to scan it real quick first and judge weather to go further based on 15-30 seconds of preview... it seems to be the same with resumes. Keep these things in mind.
Hope this helps-

I say - layout wise keep it simple and timeless - there can be a few subtle typography choices that shows you are creative.
I usually find that an objective is useless - especially in the creative business.
If they ask me why i have no objective in my resume I always said "my objectives are your objectives and they change for evey situation - as a creative professional you must take on a new voice and new directions all the time - therefore i must keep my objectives open and flexible."

how's life at einstein? i used to work there too!

good thinking, spendogg on that objective.
i would say revise your layout as well, you are on a good start though. if you are intent on keeping that one id scale your email and site down to the size of the body text and put it under your contact information. that or keep your strict grid system going.
i might also move the skills down so they line up with 'experience.'
word.

Thanks for the advice guys.
A lot of you mentioned choosing a different font and size. I used "Century Gothic" which imo is one of the cleanest, most minimalistic fonts out there. Should I switch to a more traditional serif font like times? What about size? Bump it up or down?
Also keep in mind...I will be adding a HTML/CSS resume to my website. This is just the downloadable version people will print out when I go in for an interview.
Also, what is the best way to throw in my "skills" section? This resume needs to stay at 1 page, and that was the only way I could make it work.
And for the dude who asked about Einstein...its alright, but its not really the right place for me. We're kicking ass at SEO, and the designs we're pumping out now are a lot better than they were before I started.
My main complaints would be the business dress code and the lack of creative thinking allowed.

i think the type is ok...what i would do is sort of combine the objective and skills into a very concise paragraph about why you are awesome...you can eliminate the space issues by reworking the header to only be as tall as the "evan scheingross" is right now...also i don't think you need to include your gpa
you should make an alternate version that includes your references as well
- nocomply0
Good idea about the alternative version with references! That's the type of thinking ahead I never do until it's already screwed me over.
Also...I think you're on to something with reducing the height of the header. I think I'm going to make it more horizonal so that I have more vertical space for my content.
About the skills...that's something that I think I need to leave in there so that employers can tell what I know in one quick glance. Thoughts anyone?
Also...I'm thinking about getting rid of the objective altogether, as some of you have said. Good idea? Bad idea?
Thanks everyone...you rock!

Alright guys. This is it. I'm tired of obsessing over a freakin resume. Thanks for all the input.

its a little bit better

hey evan, your resume is looking a lot better/cleaner.
for the record, i'm the opposite of a "dude". my name's stacie... tell the einstein old-timers that i say ALOHA FROM HAWAII. bummer about the corporate dress code, things were a bit more lax when i was there.
