really, since no one was around to observe the world's beginning, people who believe in (for example) the big bang also have a form of faith that it happened.
people (regardless of how they believed the universe began), can only look at the evidence around them, and reason for themselves.

what if god used a big bang as his method of creating the universe. i cant argue from my understanding that the universe is expanding as if it were on the surface of a balloon, but i also understand that red shifts appear to be nearly the same in all directions from us which puts us near the center of the universe. i gather that creation and science support each other
