I really hate when politics ends up where it doesnt belong... which is just about everywhere.

ok I cant read another 50 posts to catch up....but I would like for them to decide that brain waves are considered life or not....cause then that totally kills a lot of the abortion case....
cause babies in the womb do have brain waves .....
there are people that are in comas for 20 years ....who have brain waves and don't need life support but need a feeding tube.... but have ZERO quality of life......so are we to stop their lives too......??
oh its the chance that they will come out of it...... so years ago we didnt have the technology to even sustain this woman's life.....don't you think that it would be ok to keep her alive with the hope that technology might become available to stimulate her brain....
I know it seems like this woman is suffering and we don't know if she is or isn't. But don't you think we should favor life? Just in case...??

But it was utterly insulting to that woman that the federal court said they wanted her to appear for questioning before them and that's why the tube couldn't be inserted.

(Mar 21 05, 13:14)the case was closed and the tube was ordered to be removed, and as a last ditch effort, the republicans used a subpoena to keep her alive longer. shows they are getting desperate..

I thought it takes only a few days to die from dehydration? How come doctors say she can live up to 2 weeks without food.
I think that is really a cruel way to die. Immates on death row has it easier. They die within seconds.
- GreedoLives0
i think they're still giving her water. they can't give her a faster death because euthanasia is illegal.
and actually cutting off her feeding tubes is not cruel at all.
- piperboytoy0
I suppose so. I feel bad for her, her family and husband. I honestly hope that the federal court judge will makes the right decision!

This is the best article yet:
http://www.sptimes.com/2005/03/2…"To make comments that Terri would want to live, how do they know?" Schiavo said of the members of Congress who want to keep his wife alive.
"Have they ever met her?" Schiavo said. "What color are her eyes? What's her middle name? What's her favorite color? They don't have any clue who Terri is. They should all be ashamed of themselves."
E.X.A.C.T.L.Y!!!!!!!!!
Those fuckers.

the very worst thing is not the political involvement itself. it's the publicity this gets.
bush think it will benefit the republicans.
but if i was terri i'd hate to have my handicapped face on the telly in front of literally billions (yes it's on tv everywhere), especially if you did not want to live in this kind of state of vegetation anyway.
it's an extremely saddening situation again.
- thejumpoff0
oh let the starving begin poor thing
why not put her to sleep?
- TransFatty0
i'd hit it

maybe the parents and the husband secretly enjoy all this attention and they just want this struggle to continue for ever...
- mg330
You know, I am really not sure whether or not she should live or die. I don't know, don't have the answers.
But at the very least, I respect the law. I respect the judicial process. And Terri Schiavo's parents are doing nothing but making themselves look ignorant to the legal system by openly blaming Gov. Jebb Bush in Florida for "not doing more."
Anyone else agree? Very likely they are in essence saying, "Please go outside the law, go around the judges orders and do something illegal for us."
Jebb Bush is no saint and I think might have had a hand in all the 200 election nonsense in Florida so his brother would win. But at the very least, I guess I respect him for following the law.

So Moses took his wife and sons, put them on a donkey and started back to Egypt. And he took the staff of God in his hand.
