I'd go, "Ok, you're the boss," then bill them hourley double it and make the whole thing as fast as possible. Cash the cheque and spend the $$$ on something nice.

I say drink a bottle of gin, do the site the way they want it, take the money and let us never speak of this uglyness again.
Think of how many lift tickets/road trips it will pay for.

I hate it when clients use totally useless phrases like pizzazz, WOW factor, take it to the next level etc.
I keep asking them what they mean. It's really funny when they move from one nosense phrase to the next. If they keep going, i tell tham there's no point in doing anything until their prepared to say something that will actually give me realistic guidence. They go off in a huff, then send an email with a new one in it. Muppets

jevad, i tried to follow this thread but i couldn't..
i mean have you changed design #5 every time from the start of this thread?
you should have made new files..

i think it would be easy to show how more usable your tempate design style would be if you comped the ideas a couple pages deep in the site.
if they want a pretty home page, let em know you can do that but the site has to functionjust pitching home page designs isnt a good idea if the client cant imagine what you want them to see (in the way the funtionality will work). ive always been told its best to work inside out, that way you dont have so much invested in the home page design.
anyhoo, good luck with that. your designs are not bad at all, but they look real retailish

it has a nice 'jazz hands' kinda feel to it.

wow jevad, i remember you posting that first comp here ages ago and i thought you were doing an amazing job.
the fact that you're still in the comp stages is nucking futs...i hope you are getting well compensated!!

nonethe less your first composition was super nice and tight...allow yourself the satisfaction that u are capable of doper shit but sometimes u have to feed rats their garbage.

ehhh, just make them happy, otherwise you'll never hear the end of it. It's all a silly game.

Bonseff - I comped 3 sections worth of the first 3 designs - didn't post them for fear of overload.
And before the comps we went through wireframes - thats what hacks me off the most..
So yeah...I'm just thinking i should cut my losses and do whatever whack shite they want me to jsut to get it over with. But then my professionalism barks up....

Hey, jevad, this would be a great opportunity to try out Ze Frank's communications methods:
- DutchBoy0
haha, awesome link dippy!
anyway, jevad, so i figured.
i think you did a good job in putting aside your own preference for the frontpage to clean up the clients proposal. You removed exactly all those elements i found annoying.
