true kezza.
only the evil small percentage of muslims is in the daily news... hardly anything about the majority of peaceful islamic people.
i just do not hope this is the tip of the iceberg.... rather an unfortunate exception... but it is happening in a lot of places here now.. :(

don't blame the muslims or islam, blame theo arabs or foreigners . and i heard people in amsterdam 24/7 stone as hell

people in the right wing doing the bombs dutchboy?
- GreedoLives0
europe has a totally different 'muslim' problem than the US.
they're experiencing all sorts of immigration that they're not used to. Formerly hegemonious societies now suddenly (the last 30 years) have to get used to turkish and moroccan neighbors. and guess who gets blamed first when something bad happens? those that look different.
- DutchBoy0
yes, vanrijn..
true, greedo, well observed... but watch out not to generalize.
btw in Belgium it is worse.. (politically)

"Whu not just terrorists or rebels? Why make it a religious thing? It's never Iraqi rebels or whatever."
They make it a religious thing, Remember they kill in the name of god.
that school btw is mentioned in this article

no wonder they bombed that school

Muslims felt attacked by this pamphlet
http://www.geenstijl.nl/paginas/…
The text under the cartoon pig is not shocking. The group calls itself 'mosk pigs', other text reads: 'we are eating pork tonight' and 'on tour'. Very silly but hardly an attack. But as always, muslims show an incredible lack of humor and selfdeprecation.

"only the evil small percentage of muslims is in the daily news... hardly anything about the majority of peaceful islamic people."
are you kidding me? peaceful islamic people?
how come those peaceful muslims don't condem terrorist attacks? I never heard of a muslim denouncing a terrorist. The rare that did have to fear for their lives or are already dead.
stop kidding yourself mate, don't think that islam is peaceful, read the quran mate, read it and look for yourself how "peaceful" the islam really is
- kezza_20
I have, it is peaceful.
prick. Bigot. Racist.
ignored.

And now a "bomb" in the Hague, is it related. Air above the Hague is closed.
Damn, peepz

Religion is like Politics... No one seems to be able to repsect another persons opinion or belief.
Start attacking one another and it only escalates, as shown in the netherlands at the moment... they simply are handing one another a reason for retaliation.

(nov 9 04, 20:56)"The school that was set on fire last night didn'y have ANYTHING do do with muslim extremism.
That school was recently qualified very well by the school-inspection. That school semed to have an important social function in the small village of Uden.
The idiots who set it on fire painted white power sign on the walls... need i say more?idiots
:(

what another attack? oh man, people never learn from history now do they?
well ofcourse it's done by dumbass rightwing extremists. prolly in the vein of theo. although chances are they never ever heard of him, read anything by him or saw anything he made. theo as a catalyst. sad but true.
dutchboy, any orthodox / fundamentalist extremist religion is way off the scale. it's not just limited to just one religion. i think american christianity is just as evil since it's new promoter is a war monger. btw tolerance does also include critique on the muslim community.
kezza, very good point. normally news would say a dutch terrorist and not a christian terrorist. somehow they feel the need to throw in islam / muslim references. management by fear i guess.
whoohaa, when we slaughtered and killed people in the name of religion we were called crusaders. so i guess you should call them crusaders as well.
anyways, the whole issue between the dutch and the arab community is solely based on cultural and political differences. which has been around since day 1. you shouldn't forget that the majority of arabs in holland came from small villages, uneducated as well as very orthodox muslim. what you see is large clustering of arabs, isolating themselves from the dutch culture, isolating themselves from integration. there are so many arabs that have been living in holland for such a long time and they still don't speak a single word dutch. which is interpreted by the dutch as disrespect. their kids grow up, partly in quite an orthodox surrounding where there is no seperation between the church and the state (which also includes that women are less worth than men) and partly in a very free society as we know it. not only does this cause an internal friction within young arab people this and their behaviour also causes friction with non-arabs. but there is way more to it than just that. and on top of that, unfortunately to make the situation more worst than it already is, statistics show that young arab males have quite a large share in criminal activities. and before you flame me for this or whatever you cannot deny that fact. i have lived in bos & lommer, amsterdam, nicknamed little marocco, for over 3 years and i can tell you a lot of stories about that. my whole idea, concept and opinion of everything related to integration and blind acceptation grinded to a halt. i also learned that the dutch "tollerance" attitude didn't help the situation at all, it actually made it more worse.

it's a school for children between the age of 4 to 12...
- blipp0
Two days ago some moronic nazi kiddo's tried to blow op a similar school in eindhoven the netherlands... that schools's around the corner from my place. This way were might be heading a civillian war...

Just stay calm. What did you think, the world is a nice place just because we had some years of peace and prosperity. Remember the 70s with "mollukkers" and some lefties causing shit. That was worse than it is today.
- stewardez0
this shit isn't just a Dutch thing, it's global...
so, not to compare with the 70's
- E__________0
This was going on everywhere in the world around the 70s. During the 70s we had red brigades, RAF, IRA etc. We had PLO actions (muchen olympics). We had dictatorial regimes all over the world (Spain, Portugal, Argentina).
I just want to make a point that social unrest is something of all times, especially when the economy is in bad shape. Of course this is a problem that has to be dealt with but stop with the bs about civil wars etc.
- stewart0
so don't wear this T-shirt
http://www.parool.nl/home/BANG/wearing it will spread false fear and increase polarization imo.
