ahhh, I figured that it would be pretty easy getting into Turkey as a Muslim and then getting into the EU quick like. Maybe even pressure from the US type crap too.

last weekend when i was out for booze i noticed a lot of people talking about it, on toilets, in queues for clubs etc.
some discussions were pretty heated but noone started a fight..
funny thing is at one point a few guys were calling each other names and then they laughed and said "hey, call me whatever,.. it is freedom of speech maaan!"..
made me giggle.
and also: a discussion is good.. it makes people think.

I still am bitter that some primitve sub-human killed this artist; We here in the West cherish our right to free speech, and it was bought with blood sweat and tears over the last few hundred years - and now this man is killed, only for speaking the truth? When Westerns go to the Middle East, they are forced to act by Middle East rules - when those people come to the West they get to do whatevevr the hell they want - if muslims dont like the west then get the fuck out! Go bury your women up to their necks and stone them to death - primitives!

there does seem to be an awful lot of generalising going on regarding muslims and islam as a faith.
It's not going to make things any better or any easier.

true, I find it sad that radical terrorising orgs link themselves to a religion. same can be said for a lot of groups, not just muslims. in past history as well.

re. Turkey. a decision on full memebership is due by the end of the year. some queries still remain over the copenhagen criteria but they have made some moves on treatment of minorities, removal of the death penalty and liberalisation of the criminal code etc.
oddly, some countries may need referendums, and current issue may push full membership even further back.
