been trying that.. but it got to be overdone when i connect them.
i don't need to visualise 'filmfestival' as millions here know it by now.. there's big campaigns on tv and so forth.
it just needs to be a really slick logo!

it is a cracking logo Dutchboy... good job – get some solid colour all up in it and maybe sit it on a colour too (if allowed) and it should look sweet.
ps. something about the original 'f' that reminds me of a swastika which isnae the best!

left one or right one?
differences:
-Note the 'F' and the 'i'
-The caps on the 'S'
-'By' is cut off in the second one to make room for the 'e'let me know!

major improvements on the "m" and the "f".....i feel like i would always like the "s" better if its top lobe came down to match the contour of its bottom lobe.......i don't feel like "by the" needs to touch "film" in such a way.....again maybe it could be knocked out of a supporting shape...you've got such nice geometrics in there, i feel that shaping could be extended..also don't like the slant in the "e's" now.......they seem like extra effort when not needed........and the "a" is way better at 90 degrees than tilted.........lots of refinement already, maybe keep at it if you have time

I'd just try to let "by the" breath a few more points apart of film and sea, like 1 or 2 + mm offset path on "by teh"
they seem like a bit "caged" inside film__sea

in the first one, it looks like the f and the i are a man's head with a gigantic snot bubble dripping out of it. hope that helps. (i like the second one btw).

you mean i need to cut it off at the top? don't quite understand sorry..

i still feel it makes the 'e' sort of smile, giving it a positive vibe, when horizontal it'd simple be too serious.. not sure.. hmm...
