im watching images on BBC world about the Tsjetenian rebels getting blown to pieces, them returning fire on schoolchildren.
What a nice day isnt it.

see "wtf is wrong with..." thread.

everything depends how deep russians went to go in

its a clear message from the governement that they dont back off for terrorists.
anyone remebers the train hijack in Holland where Molukkers hijacked a commuter train for a month. it ended with paratroopers shooting at everything that moved under the cover fire of a F16 ripping rounds throughout all the train without any mercy for the civilians on the train.

it's truly sad how all of this has ended, i mean, seriously... these were kids.
- tank0
this is horrible...
- sureshot0
those low life arseholes ...
blowing up innocent kids.
bleurgh.

feel bad for everyone all of the time. this shit happens every day!
i say more of it needs to happen.
now attack me for having no empathy or real feelings.
good day!

Can't believe some of them tried to disguise themselves as hostages..... now that's what I call a coward!!
- DutchBoy0
fuck. already over 320 dead.
i am starting to doubt if this 'move' was really such a wise decision anyway.
:/

damn those extremist monsters.
- whiteSneaks0
i think the sad fact is this more than likely would never have taken place if russian government would reconsider the way it goes about things.
i guess that could be said about any 'terrorist' activities.
- DutchBoy0
true and not true, whiteSneaks.
far back in history; yes, we shouldn't have bothered Islamic extremists. Then some elements in the 'West' found it nescessary to arm them..(to shoot at 'commies')
as for now... not much of a way back. Muslim extremists have ruined it for the ethnic groups in the region__ not just sovereign independency, instead__ their aim: to install another Taliban-esque regime with retarded laws treating women like rats and executing people at will____
sad situation.. hard to solve anytime soon...........i'm afraid..
:(

Seems like they need to totally overhaul their special forces...(lack of command and control).. but thats institutional problems, not government policy...
- DutchBoy0
tru, ribit.
in fact as of today (already) a small diplomatic crisis arose between the Netherlands and Russia 'cause the Dutch foreign minister Bot inquired the Russian govt. as what their methods where during this siege and whether that was the best solution. Then the Russians felt very offended..blahblahblah..
i really wouldn't have known how to do it better though, shit like this is so complicated to handle.
anyway.. this makes me almost fucking cry like a baby.. so sad!! kids in bodybags.. hundreds..

islamic terrorists like to throw out the word martyr alot and every time one of thier own dies, they use it.
Of course I'm saddened by the loss of life of those children, but can you imagine the amazment that those terrorists would be in if suddenly the world refered to those children as 'martyrs' for the cause against terrorism?
- DutchBoy0
strange idea, xaos..
unvoluntary though.
-- on a somewhat deeper note:
i have always been wondering what really drives these monsters.. i doubt it's religion, i mean.... for most that means some enlightment by the laws of god. no human can find or possibly think of some religious blessing for killing hundreds and hundreds of innocent children. i repeat NO ONE that is truly devoted to one of the 'popular' religions as in Islam, Christianity, Judaism etc. There is a far deeper hatred and it must be related to revenge___ in it's sickest inhumane form.
in essence i am starting to think these acts have hardly anything to do with religuous idealism.
far deeper then that.

The overall strategy (even once given the order to go in) isnt so much what has been criticised (even though there are problems there)... the most criticism I have seen in the media (from SAS reps etc) has been for the basics (cordons, tiered no-go zones, proper communication links for troops, precise orders) all the basics you would expect to be a no-brainer for the Russian special forces, and which made the situation worse when something finally happened... I think even us armchair critics could have planned that stuff better...
- DutchBoy0
is it that bad?
haven't read anything about the contents of 'our' criticism towards Russian tactics.
any links?

The UK newspapers had some commentary by ex-SAS experts and others that went into more detail specifically on the lack of proper (professional) command and contriol
