i can't be assed to read all the responses so i don't know if it's been said already, but ZAOs first few albums are fucking on point. Any band that samples the prophecy and lifts (respectfully) Slayer riffs is gotta haves some huevos.

I have one thing to say about the punk rock christian thing.
yes in the beginning punk rock was ground breaking and a unique sound. It went against the grain of the main stream sounds at the time.
But the punk rock sound of today is... well main stream and lots of people like it. Just like at one time.. elvis type of music was ground breaking.. the people who sing it today arent really rebels. Times change and music style become a staple and the reason they first started fades and the love of the type of music takes over. This is where I see christian Punk bands. They love the punk type of music and want to play it. If you like a certain sound... no matter what you believe in.. you play it. Yes the true meanign behind punk is lost when they play it, but punk today is main stream and the real punkesque ness of it is long gone.
punk is about going against the stream.. NOT about a certain type of music. Punk today is main stream and accepted. True punkers of today should not sound like the old school punk bands but should be exploring new ave. that go against the grain.
that is why i dont care if christian bands play punk music. Because technically it really isnt punk anymore.. but a genra of good music.
