I work in fashion with a lot of those attitudy girls. The trick is that you need to act like they're invisible and treat them like they arent super hot, when you've broken their self-esteem, trow in some random compliments and POW, they are OWNED!

why does it sound like you can't take critiques and negative ones at that. It's the way life goes, and you learn. I think neither site is just right, it doesn't sound like you know your market from the way it looks, imo. plus it has issues in mozilla.

ok so here it is...the finale will come tomorrow. Here is how I got away with all of this. I sent the bitches flowers with an apology and a notice of my resignation. I called my manager at 8:30am to give him my resignation so he could get on the phone with people before the bitches could get their side of the story out.
So the result is that the owners are now taking me to dinner tomorrow to see if they can at least get me to work as a consultant. So fuck all the naysayers. I was wrong but I came out of it clean as a whistle. And the bitches are still stuck being slaves here.

and responses to some here...
1) I can get unemployment because I have been here a year and a half.
2) the way that it happened and b/c I gave my resignation first to settle it all if they fired me now then I would get unemployment. I just spoke to a lawyer to confirm it.
3) It's not criticism it is a constant nagging which happened when the dumb bitches went full time here and they are getting owned by the owners. They now have to work 4am - 7pm sometimes and not get paid overtime.
4) I didnt say that I was right in what I did so the people are supporting the fact that I am just getting out of a place that makes me act this way.
5) Whoever said that I don't know my market... You aren't working here and you don't talk to bridal salons and the people who are customers. This was after many many conversations with brides and with people who own theknot.com Plus some of the stuff I wanted to do was X'ed by the owners. They are cheap ass.
6) The mozilla issues... not my prob...we have a CFusion coder that splices up my shit

i feel your pain!! My last job I was part of a group contracted out by Microsoft. I was the lead person training everyone, but I had two FEMALE managers over me.. I got into it with them at least once a week. The problem was that everything I did or said they took personally (even though it was work related).. urghhh... WELL AT LEAST THE COMPANY WENT UNDER :)

i give kudos to anyone who puts them in their place! its hard to do that when you're a girl as it inevitably comes off as catty.
thus my solution is akin to the socratic method. make endless changes to a design until they have cornered themselves and ask for help. then i tell them to step aside and i do what i want.
the point is always taken and i get a good chuckle along the way.
