also, a fully functional civil union is now used by more heteros in france, since it gives live-ins all the rights they want without necessarily going for the full committment of marriage.
i know ppl who could definitely benefit from that!

Some more random points:
- separation of church and state was originally instituted to keep the state from meddling in the church's affairs.
- jevad is charming and I love him like the "special" sister I never had (shmack!).
- I believe as Jesus said, that he is the only way to God:
"I am the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father but by me." - John 14:6
- I believe, as the Bible states, that foreign cultures will ultimately be exposed to the Gospel before they stand before God to give an account for what they did with Jesus Christ.
- I believe the covenant of marriage began long before Christ. That it was instituted in the book of Genesis as Eve was given to Adam. I believe this covenant did not exist before this because I believe Adam was the first human.

i dont really see what any god / religion has to do with this argument.
Its not like they are going to come and get married in your church anyway. (like they would let it happen if they are opposed to it! like a mormon - jewish wedding, probably not gonna happen in the tabernacle)
Marriage in the eyes of the state, i dont see how that is bad to anyone. Some tax benefits, big deal. Also, the "im worried about the kids" issue is kind of rediculous as well. being married or not has no impact on a couples (gay or not) abillity to raise children.
that is just a lot of assumptions saying that homo-couples cant raise kids. and if kids are making fun of them, its not their fault, its the troublemakers.

Gay marriage simply does not hurt anyone. And if something does not cause harm it should not be made illegal. Gays are still tax paying citizens and deserve the same civil liberties as everyone else.

I do not believe that Biblical Christianity is religion. It is a vibrant faith relationship with a living savior (as opposed to a dead prophet). I believe it is a faith that produces love and tolerance. But tolerance does not mean condoning or accepting destructive or sinful behavior. I can love the homosexual without agreeing with his/her lifestyle or thinking myself above he or she.

It's a voice, but its not very loud. I'm not saying not to vote, I'm just saying that it is by no means that end-all and be-all of political platforms.Once a politician is elected, he is no longer answerable to the people. That is, until 4 years laters. But the same cycle continues until enough pressure is placed where a politican HAS no choice but to ammend legislature.
