You seriously think we fucked up the country less than Saddam would have?
and geez, get off the ketchup connection. And stop quoting right-wing rags.
- JazX0
hahhhaaa, you don't think Sarah Heinz Kerry supports him? You're joking right?
- arthur0
wtf. Hell no, things wouldn't be the same. We wouldn't have invaded Iraq, environmental policies would have remained stronger and we wouldn't have stupidass things like gay-marriage amendments proposed. wake the fuck up.

Exhibit A: Gore to the Iraqi National Congress, 2002.
News source: BBC. (which so many of you refer to as the holy bible)
Money quote: "There can be no peace for the Middle East so long as Saddam is in a position to brutalize his people and threaten his neighbors."
Money paraphrase: Gore stated that the U.S. remains committed to Saddam's overthrow.
Also, Gore was saying the United States should immediately commit troops to overthrowing Saddam.Just to show I'm not making things up.

please find out where gore said that kona, cos Gore was very vocal about not supporting the then-proposed Iraq War in 2002.

- MrDinky0
gore is the robot man that clinton had
- kpl0
ok, looks like you found the same article. But check out the first paragraph of it again:
"Gore who argued against war with Iraq yesterday at San Francisco's Commonwealth Club"
Mimio is 100% right. Gore supports regime change but with tons of caveats. It doesn't mean that he supported Bush's war.
- Mimio0
Kone you should really read into the context in which that recommendation was made. Like I said before Gore would never would have invaded Iraq and ignored the resolution of the UN Security Council.
- JazX0
ohhhh yeahhhhhhhhhhh, that dude, ohhhh oooppps I met that guy in Africa, that's right. Much skinnier then. ;)
- Mimio0
P.S. Presenting information as factual evidence when there is major doubt on it's veracity is lying. Colin Powell is a gigantic liar. This administrations presentation to the UN security council was full of utter bullshit and it's results are murderous.
- JazX0
I don't trust Colin whatsoever.
- mg330
Right on Mimio.
There's all this banter about "Don't blame Bush, the CIA is to blame if the info was incorrect."That is total nonsense. If we can't expect the top person in the country to be so totally sure of such a massive decision as to go to war and the evidence for doing so, that person should be removed from office.
If Gore had been president, I feel 100% that if he had decided war was the answer, it would have been through the UN.
Bush, ignorant ballsy cowboy that he is, cares so little about following the prescribed course of action by us being a member of the UN that he is blind to how he stepped off a cliff by going it alone.

They should have held teh 9/11 commission before the war. They went to war not really knowing what was up.
That is the worst possible scenario. Going to war before you have the facts. Idiotic. And that is Bush's fault.
- ribit0
Why does it always seem to be a 'who is the least worst' decision?
Can't the US system and such a large country generate candidates so good that you are left to decide between two GOOD choices?? Why is it like this?
Is it because all the 'good guys' dont want to go into politics?
- kpl0
"Why does it always seem to be a 'who is the least worst' decision?"
human nature.
there is no person in the world that can not look like an asshole once the political process gets a hold of em.
- JazX0
On that Gore note, the UN, who the hell are they? Never heard of 'em.
;)

I think Martin Sheen could do a better job...
