Sounds more like fear of going over there and putting your life in harm's way.
There are some very good and very bad reasons for being over there. Some are justfied and some are not.
Oh, and they will find more and more chemical weapons such as the Serin gas used recently.
http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/…My cousin is sitting in Baghdad right now... if they call your ass to go over there and fight/serve next to your other brothers in arms then get your ass over there and do what your ordered to do.
"Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Whose gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinburg? I have more responsibility here than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago, and you curse the marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And that my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. I know deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you don't want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then question the manner in which I provide it. I prefer you said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand to post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to. "
"You see Danny, I can deal with the bullets, and the bombs, and the blood. I don't want money, and I don't want medals. What I do want is for you to stand there in that faggoty white uniform and with your Harvard mouth extend me some fucking courtesy. You gotta ask me nicely. "
"I run my unit how I run my unit. You want to investigate me, roll the dice and take your chances. I eat breakfast 300 yards from 4000 Cubans who are trained to kill me, so don't think for one second that you can come down here, flash a badge, and make me nervous. "

slinky, i'm sorry but what on earth are they defending? Whose freedom? Which walls?
This is not about freedom or defense - this is an invasion.

- ********0

Backward America.
It's so paranoid about Gays that claiming to be one is the only legitimate way of defecting from the Army!!!
This is fucking priceless.

vespa. go watch a good movie sometime and you will know where those lines came from.

only reason most democrats are against it is because it is taking the opposite political stance of the present leadership. Not for any moral purpose. They are just taking the position they think will get them elected.
there are republicans against the war as well as democrats for the war

haa ha that site is PHPbb. crazy

slinky. I am aware of it. Was a good film. but you actually sound like you believe the rhetoric!
- zedvox0
uhm good movie lines vs. REAL WAR. hm.
i am still awaiting any kind of justification for this war.
how is it looked upon as an honorable thing to do?
how how how??
- ********0
don't believe the hype on both sides. that's what I think.
- slinky0
zedvox? what will justify it for you?
finding mass amounts of chemical weapons? mass graves? ect??
i do not agree with every reason we are there for nor every action that has happened... but i do agree that Saddam and his murderous regime should have been taken out... although i wish it was not done under the guise of anything other than the crimes against humanity that saddam has been committing all the years.
- JamesEngage0
No one on here probably knows the real story... so perhaps you should do what you gave your word to? It's not all about just shooting people.
- ********0
hey where the hell is Saddam these days anyway? tribunal or you think dead?
- slinky0
he is alive in Baghdad.. no tribunal until after June 30th likely
