Like it's been said many times before, our new government's done what thery had promised to do before the terrorists attacks, so to those talking shit, just STFU! Luckily for us, now we have leaders not willing to be Bush's whores. And I'm fucking glad. Bush is a criminal, not only because of the aggression on Iraq... Today I was reading that he suspended more than 200 laws which protected nature. Of course, the greedy companies behind his election are more important than our planet, your planet, his planet... This sad man just deserves to eat pretzel and die! And all those big shots in those big corps just deserve to be lynched. We need a revolution, we need all those fuckers to die.

Didn't the Spanish govt get voted out partially because they blamed the train attacks on ETA without any evidence? The Spanish people were pissed at the govt attempting to use the attacks for their own political gain and lying to them in the midst of a national crisis.
Hopefully we'll get a change of government in the UK at the next elections, although I doubt we'll pull out of Iraq if that happens. Bullshit war.

1977: It's always teh same story. You start a revolution, then you have to stabilize the country. You say it needs a police state for a while which it's true. But the police state never ends. You nationalize the capital. (literally: steal rich people's property) After that , everyone remains poor, except the ones who rule. And they never share power with the people, it's too good to be on top. It's always been that way. Russia, Cuba, N.Korea, China, E. Europe. In Poland still the richest people are the ones who were connected to the old regime. Remember Ceauscescu and his wealth? That was not "communism where something went wrong". That was pure communism, I'd say model communism. Man, you have no idea who actually is pulling teh strings and makes people around Europe revolutionary. These are the same folks who run the corporations you hate.
I am not worried about Germans, they know that socialism leads to national socialism and sooner or later will wake up. But you are on the way to destroy your beautiful country, pulling others down with you. You want to make Spain another Cuba?

I have no doubt that Iraq is on it's way to be a better place to live than it was two years ago. Probably it is even now. The problem is that freeing these people from dictatorship was only a secondary goal for the US and everyone knows that.

DaveID: do you really think that those kind of comparisons get you anywhere? what is the point? what has a deliberate attack on 5000 people has to do with annual car-crash statistics?

this 'the terrorists have won' mentality is really bizarre... I reckon it's just bitter whining from countries that have no option but to be dragged along behind bush's shit machine. Spain fortunately has, and the new government is looking pretty good so far...

I think the most terrible thing Franco did to Spain was that he made you feel that communism would be the best choice. I used to envy you that you never had a chance to try communism on yourself, but apparently, you guys still have to take this lesson.
Shit, I love Spain.

the funny thing is that terrorism is as old as consolidated Estates: what do you think that the Jesus Christ gang was doing? And do you see how its story from within sounds beautiful and righteous? and what do you think the Romans nailed him for? :)
- spaniard0
franco made us feel that communism would be the best choice?! wtf? how do you figure that out? do you know anything about the civil war? and what are you saying, that we have a communist government now? are you a real person?

I'm glad u feel that Polands been liberated by Thatcherism. Still, stop bitchin about countries with a completely different geoplotical history. Communisms not some blanket term that you can just tar everyone who believes the rich in society have a duty to look after the most dispossesed. What u experienced was a tragedy born out of Cold War contexts, Sovietism, Russian Imperialism, and despotism following a power vacuum left by World War 2. Not all countries who had a strong left went throught that. In fact, some countries suffered terribly at the hands of the right. Countries which had a tyrannical, corrupt, right wing elite. And, if you think that the WORST thing Franco did was making the Communists seem not so bad... then you really dont know Franco that well.

"I'm glad u feel that Polands been liberated by Thatcherism."
Actually that isn't true, but sure I'd welcome Thatcherism here. I believe the rich don't owe me anything, as long as they don't block my economical freedom. Sure they may help people, but they have no obligation to do so.
Yes, for me socialism is so close to communism, that it's actually an euphemism for that. Revolutionary moods among young people grown on capitalist countries' wealth seem somewhat scary.
As for Franco, don't misundrestand me. There's nothing positive I can say about him and his terror dictatorship, but some belief in the leftist utopia is something that even after 30 years people still can't shake off. The Spanish have left GWBush, which is fine by me. Too bad they got straight under French and German socialists' wings. That is Karl Marx's dream coming true. I'd rather see EU of cooperating but competing (ie. tax-wise) countries than a socialist federation.

What?? So by ur logic France and Germany are communist countries???? And Britain in the 70s was Communist? And Spain just turned Communist?
u's loco man :S
