bomy, Eastern European chicks, I mean let's face it they dominate the runways around the world in fashion, they are so hot. I've had a few Estonians while crusing from Helsinki. God also not bad! :)

so bomy on my summer break I am gonna' be in the Portugal/Spain/France area and I'll stop by and chat with you. I really like Cannes and Lyon in the Summer out in the village areas. That's real life.

Went there last year for a week in February with my GF. Such a wonderful time, kind of cool to be there in the off-season, and with less tourists.
I would definatly find the Salvador Dali museum in Montmartre. We were staying up the block from The Moulin Rouge and just happened upon it. Also, we were just a few storefronts up from the cafe used in the movie Amelie.
The Dali museum is in the area around the Sacre Coueur, the chapel on the highest point in Paris. A great view.
Def. The Eifel Tower and a riverboat ride down the Seine.
Don't let people tell you not to do the staple tourist things, they're alot of fun and going to the Louvre, going to Notre Dame, etc were incredible.

Go to :
- Musee d'Orsay (art 1848-1914)
- Pompidou Centre (modern art in a brilliant building)
- Musee Picasso (ahem...)
- the top of the Eiffel Tower
- the stall on the opposite side of the road to the tower for a crepe au chocolat

I hate to be the negative one (and I know you didn't ask for opinions about the city) but I think Paris is truly over-rated. It's extremely dirty, loud and people in general were really unfriendly and whereas other countries enjoy tourism - you almost have to excuse yourself for not being able to pronounce perfect French in Paris.
Oh yeah, and they have 8 lane traffic circulations where everyone's keeping a straight course, and believe me - they don't hesitate to bump you.
The west coast and the Riviera are much better and really beautiful IMO.

go to the Georges rest. on top of the Center Pompideu at 3pm, get table with a view and get drunk while the city lights come and the music gets louder....

If you got nice weather one day you should go up to the "Le Sacré-Coeur" and check the sunset. A really great overview over the whole Paris. A must see (feel)
- ferrino0
yeah - Le Sacré-Coeur a must-do

jox-
who the hell goes to Paris, especially American tourists, to drive a car????
What does traffic circulation matter? The Metro system there was fantastic, always on time, very clean and safe.
I wish Chicago could take a few notes from Paris in terms of the subway. Going in our underground stations and many of the above ground stations is like going into a dungeon or some experiment in public tolerance for filth, dim lighting and odor.

concerning parisiens (people from paris) .. yes it's true . they are not the friedndliest people u can meet.. they have little time to give and they are bored with tourists asking over and over the same questions in english ..
but that's the same in every big city i've been... people in NY or London are not very different, it's up to you to make the difference and cheer them up and show a bit of respect for their countries and lifestyle..
as much i've sen young travellers being nice and friendly around montmartre i've also seen dickheads speaking in english at a bar.. insulting everyone around and thinking noone was speaking english..
i mean after that .. no wonder people are cold and arrogant ..now it's also true that if you come down in the south you'll feel the difference straight away !
it's laid back, people aren't running everywhere.. it's easier to meet people and chat.. in a bar u won't risk your life saying you're american.. ;)
u've to realize one thing though : on the war in iraq the least we can say is we' do not agree AT ALL with Bush decisions.. and France is totally against this guy.. he is really unpopular here..
so i think that 's not very good for american / french relation..
sad but true..
i've never seen that many fight in the irish pub down my road than since the war in iraq etc etc.. as soon as 2 guys are arguing about the french decisions on this war there is a fight..sad really
