There was a new gaunt faced man begging outside the corner-shop downstairs last night.
I was going to give him 50p of the ?2.50 i have to my name, but then that crackhead who is always there came round the corner again and scared me off.
The crackhead is like one of those minimally animated characters in Grand Theft Auto, operating to a single line of looping code that programs him to walk back and forth saying the same phrase over and over again until you fight him or run him over; i don't know the key combination to help him.
Sweat shined skin stretched over starved cheekbones, perpetually rounding the corner: "Love, love, got any spare change?"
I wonder if i am one of those characters too only i don't know it? Operating under the illusion of free will when my hamster circuit is just a multi-story shopping-mall-slash-bar to the crackhead's microcosmic beat?
