tim, have you ever given any thought to a kids picture book for your daughter? i'm thinking you could give her a bunch of crayons and let her scribble and then go back over it and make shapes and forms out of some of her drawings and make it into a story for her.
just an idea.
- I posted that I liked this idea, and somehow it didn't get posted.juhls

I've never thought of that as such. I have a piece of paper on my studio wall now where she scribbles when she comes in. I get her to draw a different letter each time she's here. She's not really at the stage where she gets letters yet but she's learning to recognise them so I'll say "Draw a Kuh for Crocodile" and she'll draw a C. She's done all the letters in her name now and about six more. I'm going to compile them all and make her an illustrated alphabet book with her letters in it as soon as she has completed the alphabet.
By which time she'll be 18 and coming home drunk at 4.00am.

Apparently we're stealing US jobs, and customs agents won't stand for it any longer.

... I'm always like days behind everyone else, but has everyone been experiencing issues with Twitter? I'm wondering why people haven't been responding to my academic retorts, and I'm finding today that they seem to have never posted.
- I'm having the same issues with phone calls, emails and posts********
- I deserve that.********
- Wait, damn it. I was hoping that wouldn't post.********

Clingy and I talked about some issues that have been growing lately. He constantly wonders why I always decline his offers to hang out outside of school hours. I explained that I like keeping my academic life separate from my more personal life (especially since I don't know the people in class as well as I know my family and friends). Being his "I am better than everyone else" self, he, of course agreed with what I was saying and claimed that he believed it for his own life more than he believed it for mine. He always says idiotic things like this. As if he would know if he does something "more often" or "better" than I do when I don't discuss everything I do with him. He can't stop talking about his "famous photographer grandfather", and how it automatically means he can criticize everything I do with my camera.
I noticed that he speaks about gay people all the time in a really unsettling manner. It is obvious that he hates gay people, and I asked him about it because it was bothering me - the way he speaks loudly about them and calls them derogatory names (I don't want to walk around hallways and shit with him saying this stuff in front of others). He blames it on his "small town upbringing" (bulllllshiiiiite), but then told me that he isn't racist, as if though that should reassure me in some way.
He thinks it was good we cleared stuff up today, and I agree. Now I know for sure I will not be speaking to him that much anymore or at least after a few more months (it's pretty hard to avoid him in school). Thankfully, I am taking all the web-related courses next year and he is not. He also expressed his disappointment about this, like I should give up my future career and what I want to learn for him. We'll still be in some of the same courses, but I will welcome having different people in some classes.
If there's one thing I can't stand, it's someone who constantly tries to one-up me or pretends like he/she already knows everything there is to know in the world, and actually gets offended if you inadvertently say anything that makes them feel less intelligent. You can just imagine the kind of tension that builds up from this type of relationship, and it's not the good kind.

- He has a massive massive crush on you.Horp

- I know, but I would never do anything about it. He constantly asks for hugs, and I will never give in.juhls
- who is clingy?********
- Especially since he bet me that I would before the end of the year (b/c others from class have), and I WILL WIN.juhls
- morilla, he is this guy from class. we sometimes do projects together b/c I don't know many other people.juhls
- gotcha, sounds like he is doing the 3rd grader approach.********
- I think that when you put aside all his clearly unattractive attributes you quite like him too.
After all...Horp - you write posts as long as mine when writing about him, when usually one line is enough for you. Speaks volumes!Horp
- ie speaking volumes, speaks volumes = )Horp
- maybe it's like that animal attraction you have for people. You just want to have sex,********

- you're planning with inadequate tools, juhls (I think). You won't find any one perfect this way.Corvo2
- You're thinking of a model guy - but that does not exist.Corvo2
- The idea behind relationships is that two people (or more, in Utah) can work out their own defects and build something.Corvo2
- Theoretically speaking, of course. Some people don't even go half the trouble.Corvo2
- Not that I know anything about relationships.Corvo2
