One of my aunts has breast cancer. Stage 2. She had her whole left breast removed today.
I never knew anyone in my family with it, but when these things happen, you really do have the urge to fight for a cure.

Driver's Ed online is a bit boring. Even with music.

Just the whole attention about Michael Phelps is getting at least 1/2 of my friends ecstatic enough to have his name on their status every time. It's also a great convo piece in situations, that in normal circumstances, would be awkward, like say teacher to student. This is why I love the Olympics.

dear blog,
i want to go get a steak dinner with wine and veggies and bread.
however here in taipei i cant seem to find a good restaurant and all im really doing is just drinking myself to oblivion. if anyone's been here before and can recommend a place to eat id really appreciate it. im losing so much body weight but gaining a fat gut from beer, i hate alcohol. i hate it so much!!! ive grown such a tolelrance to it now i dont even puke anymore...need food badly...
anyone live in taipei??? recommend a good place to eat or someone been here before want to share some direction??

dear blog,
i went for a random long walk here in Taipei and i found a steak house very similar to Peter Luger's in NYC. it felt very nostalgic, as i grew up around the corner from one of the 2 Peter Luger's in Long Island and i currently live around the one in Brooklyn.
I went all out and got me the best they had of everything they had from a bottle of red wine from Italy to a NEW YORK STRIP 18oz steak cooked medium and slightly bloody... with mashed potatoes smothered in garlic and fried mushrooms and a very tasty salad. i ended the meal with just a cup of coffee no desert as i was ultra stuffed and i had managed to finish the entire steak, it was soooooooooo delicious. the Restaurant is called Ruth's Chris Steakhouse - http://www.ruthschris.com/Steak-…
cant believe a place like this exists here... considering the hotel had no idea of it at all.

Changed the radius arm bushes on the car today, took me just over an hour to do. I check with a mechanic yesterday to see how much it would set me back. 3 hours it would take him, costing $145/hour + parts which he estimate to cost around $180 (I bought them for $69).

- I'm so glad Canada won (our first) three medals last night. There are more to come, for sure.
- This weekend we have to decorate the entire house (we're having people over next weekend for a ceremony) so we'll be hitting up around 5 stores today to get everything. So busy. I have to find time in-between to buy more contacts and check out laptop deals for my bro.
- My Macbook is running nicely after I changed the internal HD. It didn't take very long to replace at all (and my awesome dad had all the screwdrivers I needed). The only thing that took a while was backing up the files and then restoring them.

My timetable changed again because a professor was changed. And one course that had two parts has only one part now...wtf. I don't know what to do about work. Perhaps I will give my boss the days that I know I will be free for now, and then tell her it may change again before September.
