I have a big, red Cannondale that I bought 13 years ago (around $500 I think). I ride that thing just about everyday. The dropout busted once in a race, but it was replaced the same day because their frames have a lifetime guarantee.

how do manufacturers come up with a bikes size? what is the proper way to measure it? i have one i'm selling and i'm not sure. i've heard one way is measuring from the top side of the bottom bracket, up the seat tube, to the top of the seat tube.
another method was measuring from the 'middle' of the head tube along the top tube to the 'middle' of the seat tube...
can anyone give more info on this?

no - looks are deceiving.. its about 32lbs, and goes up almost as well as down! can't reccomend it enough, just upgrading to a coil-over shock... mmm bouncy!

32 pound = 14.51495584 kilogram
Heavier I know, but in Scotland.. you soon pick up a few more Kg in mud anyway... whats the point in weight-watching when you're tooled up for a day-trip?
