Hey Y'all,
It's always interesting to me what sound tracks directors choose to put behind their films. Of course it all comes down to your own musical tastes but I was wondering you guys think are some really killer movie sound tracks? This could mean on just a cool tunes level or how the music actually added a lot to the film on a creative level.?@Whatcha tink?

Tarrantino always picks great tracks that help make you remember his movies, but my favorite is The Yellow Submarine.

Did it actually work? Can you recommend a good song? Are you talking about the part where Ralph drags his dying girlfriend into a cave? Those were sweet tunes...

reservoir dogs.
no doubt.

yeah it works, that part is good and the classical songs are nice to sleep with a chick and fall asleep to otherwise. That's an all-time soundtrack, other than that one, maybe freaking that popular BlueGrass shit from the movie O' Brother Where Are Thou?

Street Fighter the Movie.
unrecognized hip hop classic

Tatsumaki, you loser. Just jump on the bandwagon, why don't? Luckily you're sitting right across from me so I can abuse you thoroughly.
What about the Sound of Music? I'm actually serious... Scary.

yo, JazX. I'm down with O'Brother. Love that hilly billy shit. I like that part where the 3 girls sing that squeaky song on stage at the political rally.

anything by Danny Elfman; Batman, Adams Family, To Die For, Beatle Juice, .....
also, Vanilla Sky is a pretty good one.

Somebody brought it up a few days ago but the last song to Finding Forester was spot on. Big Hawaiian dude singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Cool.

used to love Danny Elfman (of oingo boingo fame...and also jenna elfman's uncle) but his stuff seems soooo cookie-cutter nowadays, w/ the women singing (la la la la la) in everything.
The Last of the Mohicans soundtrack is an audio aphrodesiac (and also somn nice to f*ck to)

(in reference to the Hawaiian dude)American Beauty was genius, yes.
And I also liked Air's contributions to The Virgin Suicides

As for a symphonical soundtrack the one John Williams wrote for Star Wars (1977, fav film as well) without a doubt. As for songs soundtracks... Saturday Night Fever! Yeah, I love Disco, so what muthafuckas?! ;D
