yeah but the media is
a constant -questioning the media is good,
questioning everything is good.but don't expect the questioning to yield anything beyond a summary of what has been going on for the past 15 years.
the media is god.

damn fatty....damn...

criticising people for not having the weight of the world on their shoulders is simply tactless and irresponsible.

Transfatty, that picture moved me...so simple, meaningless at first sight, but the more painful, symbolic in the context of the tragic event.
Other note:
I bought an English Sunday paper (since we lack Sunday papers) today, with the whole story and an extra story (on frontpage!) about the Israeli astronauts history in bombing and killing while he was in the Israeli army, and I thought this was rather inapropriate at this point, especially on the frontcover of a wellknown newspaper.Although there are most certainly political aspects to this flight, noone can deny that, I think in this stage people should back-off and pay respect.
[same for this thread imho]

Typical fucking hysteria.
Ignore them when they're up.
Kick them when they're down.I had to use a whole package of q-tips to clean this weekend's media-filth out of my ears.
The goddamn-bottom-line.
If I hear one more person refer to space exploration, travel, or research, as 'routine'.... I will go fucking crazy.
Terrible tragedy. Second one of my brief existense.
Oh yeah. I almost forgot... In my 23 years here, Nasa and other organizations have built two space stations, landed a vehicle on Mars, launched countless amazing telescopes and satellites bringing back gorgeous pictures of far off worlds, launched satellites for world-wide communication, discovered endless possibilities, conducted exhaustive research, and thrilled, amazed, puzzled, and enlightened generations of priveledged people.
Using technology that spans decades, a 1980's budget, the general (un)acceptance of the 60's, Nasa has kept its vision in the future. Yet dealt with its feet nailed to the floor of the past.

I, for one, would glady die for the one of the last noble causes of our so-called modern lives.
(Thanks, I had to get that out)
