Insomnia blog:
I'm fairly confident that I have esophageal cancer. I have no way of diagnosing it, nor dealing with it because I'm a 1099 in America in 2020, and I would rather spend my money on having a good end. I don't know how to tell the missus, but I wish she didn't care as much as I don't.
Pretty sure I'll be dead in a year or so, so I'm going to try to make the best of it. Outlive my dog, finish some books, and eat like a king.
Pup cleanser for the darkness:
- get it check!
:/pango - Blaze up!deadsperm
- So sorry to hear! I don't even know you, but it pains me to hear that you think you can't receive professional treatment because you're a freelancer.monospaced
- I wish you peace in the next steps of telling the missus and finding a way forward together. If I know anything, your significant other will want to know.monospaced
- could be something us dumb as acid reflux. go get it checked out somehow.inteliboy
- Sounds more like depression / selfishness. Vomiting / seeing rectal blood? Tell misses, get checked, reap benefits of honesty & science.imbecile
- What makes you fairly confident?jagara
- Go to a doctors.PhanLo
- get really really good travel health insurance, expensive, read all small print, make sure it covers sudden cancer diagnosis...then take a 3 month holiday...shapesalad

- I thought I was having serious heart failure not long ago. It was just reflux. I was convinced I was dying.monospaced
- go to a doctor..autoflavour
- Self-diagnosis is no diagnosis. You might be convincing yourself of something for months that could be fixed in a week.spl33nidoru
- Agree with shape above, if anything get it checked abroad. Even Cuba would work.spl33nidoru
- Take care of yourself. If it was your wife who thought she might have something, you probably wouldn't be like "oh let's wait and see how that plays out" :)spl33nidoru
- Sorry you are going through this, all good advice ^webazoot
- Make an appointment and have a dr check it out!bezoar
- Please tell your partner. There's no other way than to face that head on. A day longer with that secret is too long.shellie
- Tell her honestly how you feel send how you wish to live her life. My father had lung cancer and got treatment, but later chose to stop and work to make moneyshellie
- for my mother. I did not agree, as I wanted him to fight longer no matter the cost. but in the end I respected his decision for the family.shellie
- it would still be good to be tested and recieve a proper diagnosis. Professionals may be able to lead you to resources that can help within budget or free.shellie
- Oh whoops, I actually posted that. That's embarrassing as hell. Let's pretend I didn't. Cheers all.garbage
- We do care about you G. Talk to us whenever you need.shellie
- @garbage what are you waiting for? you have read the comments. get up and fight!api
- @garbage : no judgment here, if anything it's good you posted!spl33nidoru
- Self diagnosing, wtf?NBQ00
- I just don't care, it's not a big deal. More dog and cooking pics, fewer boring personal matters.garbage
- And as for self-diagnosis, I'm the worst armchair doctor ever because I have worked in medical publishing for ages. I can't disclose clients at this point..garbage
- ..but I work for the hospitals and universities that are the type where you hear the name and recognize them even if you've never been there.garbage
- why not talk to those guys? to get certainty. and options.uan
- feel good man!renderedred
- you're gonna need a lot more dog photos to make up for it! lolpango
- i am sorry to hear that is all, i would stand on the "tell the partner" sideloool
- Two weeks ago, I had a mild abdominal pain that stuck around for more than a week. I went to CityMD (urgent care) and got a CT Scan. No bad signs there...CyBrainX
- I was still convinced I was going to die so I went for my first colonoscopy in 15 years. No polyps (like the last time). and the abdominal feeling went away.CyBrainX
- I did the same thing you're doing now. I self-diagnosed my worst fear - death from cancer at a relatively young age. I'm already older than my parents...CyBrainX
- ...when they died of cancer. Don't be nuts like me. Do your best to get hired somewhere full time or get a gig like me - freelance through a recruiter...CyBrainX
- ...that can get you health insurance. Can you get on your wife's health plan? You have some time. Fight this shit with all your life. LIVE! Your married andCyBrainX
- have awesomely cute dogs.CyBrainX
- Wasn't a big part of the ACA to help people who don't have full time job get insurance?reanimate
- If you are relatively young you can probably sign up for a plan costing a few hundred dollars a month. There is also Medicaid if you are below certain incomereanimate
- test cost what 200 hundred bucks. less than new tires. the kind of ppl who think care is limited to insurance...********
