"Armstrong will address the alleged doping scandal, years of accusations of cheating and charges of lying about the use of performance-enhancing drugs throughout his storied cycling career," Winfrey's network said in a statement.

The U.S. Justice Department has joined a whistleblower lawsuit filed by a former teammate of cyclist Lance Armstrong, an Armstrong attorney confirmed Friday.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is after this guy? Crazy.
- USADA... eat a dick.ETM

- that's not nice yoprophetone
- If QBN was a functional forum, I would correct that typo in the title.ETM

Sorry, 'roid rage.ETM

I don't see how the USADA can take away the titles. It kind of sucks that he's giving up, because sadly it's going to prove his guilt once and for all in the minds of those who have always thought he's guilty, despite any evidence at all.

it's so hard to believe that someone who's "not doping" will win over all others who's actually on shit.

did he say something about nike?

Drugs or no drugs I am still amazed that the Postal Service gave him a multimillion-dollar sponsorship. They are so broke they can not ship on Saturdays anymore :(

^ They don't mega-dope. If they take anything, it's a small amount, in hopes to gain a slight edge while still leaving open the possibility of passing the dope test. Sometimes this edge isn't enough. Lance is physiologically built for this sport, genetically more so than most pros. 33% larger heart & 33% larger lungs, amazing lactic acid threshold and VO2 max. Many pro cyclists are like this, but Lance always had some of the best testing results in the lab.
His VO2 max is 85 milliliters of oxygen per kilogram of body weight per minute. An average untrained person has a VO2 max of 45 and with training can get it to 60. Lance would be 60 if he was a couch potato and never trained. For the average person, their ceiling is Lance's basement.

A really good read, just not sure when it's from, but probably within the past couple of years.

A friend of mine lives in Austin. Lance's hometown. For years she's been going to the Lance Armstrong 24/7 Fitness Center.
Well, now it's just the 24/7 Fitness Center. Saturday they got new signs. Even in Austin they're ashamed of the guy.

banned for life? his career is already over.

pretty sad. not sure how to take it. i get the getting tired of the board going after him and trying to continue the fight...a fight that seems impossible to win, and countless funds/time wasted trying to prove them wrong.
i don't know enough info to give an opinion one way or the other...but wouldn't the tests prove one way or the other within an instance? or am i missing the obvious?
