I suspect there are far more important matters going on in the world. If only people got this worked up by other stuff, that said...
From my rather pov...
He doped in a sport that was more or less rife with it. If every single team had its key rider jacked up, and if its a team sport I kind of get the join the team or fuck off attitude.
Strikes me there has been a period in modern sport from about the mid 70's up until the last couple of years in which several sports used performance enhancing drugs where it could clearly aid the athlete, creating an arms race in a lot of sports.
The fact that they cant award any of his Tour De France titles speaks volumes to me.
Quite rightly as the poster boy of his sport and in many ways as the poster boy of picking yourself off the floor and grabbing life by the ball so to speak he has had the furthest to fall, but in many ways I see his argument that punishments for drug cheats aren't applied universally.
The fact that Justin Gatlin has a bronze medal to his name from London 2012 backs that up.
The idea that ONLY lance Armstrong was the ONLY athlete in the world to have a sophisticated doping scheme soulds far fetched to me.
For as long as the benefits outweigh the costs then it will always happen, and I can't imagine a professional sport where it doesn't happen.
- It's the shocking lack of remorse that's getting so much heat. He just doesn't seem to care, that's what stands outpig

I would like to punch Lance Armstrong in the face. and then the testicle.
I would like to see him sent to a Nike slave labour factory to work off all of his debt making cheap shoes. Perhaps repaying his sponsors but better yet all money to cancer.
I would like to have a wrist band with his name and face on it saying something to the effect of "Cheaters Never Win". The money from that would go to a cancer research foundation of another name in the name of Lance Armstrong's apology
Lance, you're whats wrong with the world. Go fuck yourself

A report on the radio this morning talked about the fact that he will no longer fight the USDA is a sign that he probably doesn't think he could win and that this compromises everything the man worked for including the Livestrong foundation. He went on to mention about how the site shows up for hundreds of medical terms in search engines and hinted ever so slightly at its creditability. Lance stood as the guy who beat cancer, the reporter said, he is no longer that guy. Wait he didn't beat cancer either? son of a.....
- what are you talking about? did you read his statement?sine
- Its a bit of sarcasm pointed at the reporters and their blood in the water mentality.crillix
- Those where the things the report said or eluded to this morning... I think its pretty absurd.crillix
- I wish he kept fighting the good fight but I don't blame him for wanting to move on.crillix

so, do you think it would ever be possible for these guys to ride the tour without using anything to recover each day? I mean, i know they are super strong, but they need something to make it so they can turn around and do another mind blowing ride day after day.
