Today's the day; whos running the dev release? What are y'all excited for? Another unstable, poorly received version like Lion initially was?

it must be hard getting excited everytime someone at cupertino farts

apple really needs to create a very very basic desktop app for making wireframes and simple graphics / icons. that would take adobe out of the equation for me.

Does it break anything? Fonts, etc?
I want to upgrade, but I can't risk any downtime.
- ESKEMA0
I'll let you all try it for a week before upgrading.

Downloaded, but will install tonight once I backup my stuff. Will do a clean install not an upgrade over Lion.

Ha! Brought my MBP to my office to download and install it here today. WiFi Network sucks - it's barely 1MB a second. I think I will be waiting.
I am definitely curious to see if there are any issues with CS3, but a few quick things I've read say there shouldn't be a problem.

Well, my old Mac is left in the dust with this one. Now if they'd just update the iMac line so I can get up to speed already.
- There already are workarounds, people installed it on older macs.raf
- Not worth it. Lion is already too much for it most of the time. I really should downgrade, actually.monospaced

- < I am in the same boatKnuckleberry
- start fresh with another HD, when comfy start working in that environment, original still around as a parachuteprophetone
- that's basically what i do with every major upgrade, like walking away from the messy apartment into a new houseprophetone

Other than this gatekeeper (Switch to "Anyone" once installed) things appear smooth & fast...

NEW FEATURES:
"Prompt to save when closing a document. The new 'Ask to keep changes when closing a document' preference prompts you to keep or discard changes when closing a document."So... you can turn OFF the "Do you want to Save" option? For all apps?

can we just go back to leopard? sno leopard and lion sucked.
you have to update everything else and it hogs so much memory no one needs so many updates this fast- Disagree. SL was solid and saved my old machine from being binned. Made it quicker & added space.Gucci
- Yes, disagree. Snow Leopard was the business.mg33
- Ditto on SN, Mig. Been the fastest and most stable OS for me so far.DoTheMacarena
- yes snow leopard is cool, Lion doesnt look that good.i_was
- Snow Leopard was the pinnacle of Apple.raf
- Agreed on all things Snow Leopard. Finest OS ever to exist imo.inteliboy

Looks impressive on Apple's website, but as usual now I've installed it I'm having trouble working out what the difference is.
Does someone want to do a Top 5 (Top 10 if you can stretch it that far) Tips thingy.
Aww, go on. Prove to yourself at least something is different...
